Excellent hostel, the owners brother and sister are doing an Excellent job. Everything is very clean. Toilets and showers are clean and big enough. Regularly cleaned. Staff is very helpful and friendly. This hostel has everything what is needed. Breakfast is the best I had in any hostel I've been.I would recommend it to everybody. It is worth the money paid and more. If I were again in Cardiff I would stay there. Location is 10 minutes by foot to the center. A nice view to millenium stadium

Well priced high quality hostel accommodation - across the river from the Millennium Stadium, 10minute walk from Cardiff train station or the relocated bus stop (Sophia Gardens). Bathroom facilities are very good- private (not communal) full bathroom/ shower stall separate from bedrooms (no difficulty queuing, power showers, kept very clean. Good kitchen and food storage facilities. Best hostel breakfast ever! (complimentary!) Staff very friendly, rooms to relax with books and TV

No shortcommings at all! This was one of the best hostels I've stayed in. Everything's clean, the staff was very nice, kitchen is fully equipped and the room was not packed with beds. All in all a very nice atmosphere and a great place to stay in!

The best hostel I ever visited. People were so kind and warm, atmosphere was great, comfortable rooms almost like a hotel. Makes a good reason by it's self to go to Cardiff.

Nice homely hostel. Not much going on but great breakfast and cosy beds with plenty of power points for charging your items.

Staff were lovely. TV room, dining room, kitchen and private bathrooms excellent. Good location opposite the stadium, and short walk into city centre.bed Free pizza and beer event on Saturday. Information and books provided on local area. Fantastic breakfast, one of the best. 6-bed room was exceedingly cramped with luggage. Narrow and noisy lockers. Floor-level sockets and no bed light. Be careful on the steep stairs. Give the bathroom door a BIG push!

Really great hotel, you sort of get spoiled by staying here because it's so clean and nice. Aby and Charlie were great, good value for money, met lots of really cool ppl while staying here. Good breakfast though t would be nice to have more salty stuff. There are lockers on the room, good kitchen and they have events every now and then. Thanks for everything!

This was a really lovely place to stay - and probably the cleanest hostel I've ever stayed in. Staff are lovely and friendly, and beds are comfortable. Great location too, right by millennium stadium.

This Hostel was a revelation. From the moment I arrived there was a lovely feel. Great location; lovely staff that are very attentive to their visitors, including a free pizza and cider evening; high quality kitchen appliances and crockery; extensive and tasty breakfast; and brilliant owners. Top marks to you both and your Hostel.

Riverhouse Backpackers shows every sign of having been fully thought out with its guests particularly in mind - and thence fully maintained with the careful clink of each breakfast dish daily. Cardiff overall has that premeditated magic to it - especially the spot-on massive accoutrements of Blackweir Common stretching acre after acre behind Cardiff Castle. Note that the intercity buses now stop at Sophia Gardens, which is only six minutes on foot away on the west bank of the good River Taff.
