If you like to party its a good place. Sleeping is pretty difficult thought as the floors are wooden and you hear every single step. And those that come back late at night wake you up again. It's pretty cold as the common rooms are only outside. In the end I thought it was fairly expensive, as breakfast isn't included.

Really lovely hostel with a great bar and lovely staff, the meals they put on each night are fantastic! The only problem is check out time is far too early-needs to be extended definitely!

Really good place to stay if you are in Quito! I just miss a 'warm place'. All the common/internet place don't have doors so it can be cold...

Good people. Food was fair. Good breakfast (accept for the french toast, which was awful...and water not always hot enough to steep tea). Vegetarian dinners were fair. Perhaps they're better at the carnivorous option? Nice communal space with great view of the city. Main complaint, and reason we cancelled our last night was noise. It was EXTREMELY noisy and difficult to sleep. They have a happy hour so people get liquored up and loud and completely inconsiderate of those trying to sleep.

I think it's one of the best I have been to in South-America! Good location, good common areas, really nice, happy staff & volunteers, cheap and tasty maels in-house. The hostel has a strikt "go out to party or go to bed" policy at 11 pm and I think this is perfect! You have dinner at the restaurant/bar terras, meet some cool people, have some drinks and you go out in a big group and let the people who are tired go to sleep quietly. I also absolutly loved the Cotopaxi Secret Garden!!

Very bad internet connection dropping all the time No breakfast No cards accepted Room sees no sunshine Reception at the 5th floor. Nobody watching the entrance or the storage room, a stranger can walk in and rob. Tried to rip us off when charging for breakfast, charged 16.5% instead of 12% Iva Do no put Iva on the prices, so you think the price is something but then pay more. One of the nights people kept talking very loud until 3am and staff did nothing.

Most of the staff members were young party-ready people and treated me (older) with indifference , just barely doing what they had to do. Other older people confirmed this as well, however, in spite of that, it is a really good place to stay.

A real party-hostel located close to the old town. Great roof balcony with stunnng view. Breakfeast and dinner served there every day - along with drinks... Great place to meet fellow travellers. Som very young, some more mature. But the hotel has no facilities for preparing your own food (exept for lunch, then you can use the kitchen). Also missing an after hours lounge. Bar closes at 11pm, and then you must go out or to your room. Strictly enforced by the night guard. But would stay again!

It is a place for youngsters. Walls are thin and the building is very noisy. Bring ear plugs. Share bathroom with many guests and they are not clean. Restaurant on top is very cool and food is cheap.rooms are not decorated and most don't have Windows do you feel like you are in a cave. Interesting but I won't go back.

Couldn't make to this hostel, so can't actually make a review, although it seems pretty nice!

Great hostel with a lively atmosphere. It's clean and cosy, very welcoming. Staff were friendly and helpful. They offer delicious breakfast and dinners at a reasonable price. The hostel is attached to Carpedm travel centre which is a great place to book various tours to the equator line, Galapagos, Cotopaxi, Otavalo, etc. I would recommend this place and would stay here again.

The roof top terrace was the icing on the cake. How fun to have such a grand view without the price tag to go with it. There are certified taxis arranged by the The Secret Garden, everything worked, especially the WiFi. A little noisy but it wouldn't stop me from returning. Watch out for the 5 flights of stairs and 9,000 feet altitude.

I loved this hostel. The best thing about it were the staff. The permanent staff were very helpful, caring and knowledgeable about the city and activities to do. The volunteer staff members were also really cool as well. They made things run even smoother and were very friendly and welcoming.

Great hostel with a social atmosphere. The dinners on the rooftop terrace are a great way to meet other travellers.
