Great location, directly in the old town with an amazing roof top terrace where you have a beautiful view over Quito! The staff is very helpful and the whole atmosphere is super nice! We especially liked that the WiFi is turned off on the roof top terrace after 6 pm so people 'have' to be social! The travel agency downstairs is also very handy since they organise day trips around Quito and/or have some good deals for Galapagos cruises or the amazone!

So many perks from this hostel - the main being the view from their terrace of the City of Quito. Truly outstanding. The terrace also has a bar area which after 6pm they turn the wifi off in this area so people are more apt to converse. The facilities were VERY clean and it was the best, warmest shower I had in all of Ecuador. Wasn't too convinced of high security but had no issues. I'd use other travel agencies than what's provided in house - found the ones outside to be cheaper.

Good: Central, safe location. Very helpful staff. Good evening meals It's the hostel everyone goes to. Bad: The first private room they gave us had no windows.

A decent hostel with an amazing view of the town. People say it's a party hostel but is most definitely not. At 11 when music goes off and bar closes if you don't go out you have to go to your room and be quiet. Tiny little beds!

Stayed here for 2 weeks, good place to stay, great staff, fun atmosphere, good bar/restaurant. Some issues - it's little cold due to the courtyard design of the hostel but just ask for an extra blanket. Could also do with some kitchen facilities so you can cook your own food rather than having to use the restaurant or having to go out. Also the internet in the bar gets switched off at 6 which affects the upper most dorm room which is annoying. Overall definitely recommended.

Pros: Lively atmosphere. Staff are (mostly) friendly. Has an in-house agency, Carpedm Adventures, which provides the best service ever Cons: It is the first hostel where I encounter staff do not know anything about the city and are unapologetic about it. Draws in the party crowds - hence drunkenness is common.

I was a bit disappointed especially after all the hype about this place. I think it's overpriced for a dorm bed since breakfast isn't included. The whole place is a bit chilly as there aren't many indoor common areas. And I didn't get a hot shower! (which the signs in the bathroom promised I would). Having said all that the staff are really friendly and the rooftop terrace is nice for views and socialising.

Awesome hostel! I won't even look into other places if/when I make it back to Quito. The do breakfast, as well as a big family dinner (w/ veggie option). The rooftop bar (KILLER view) and super awesome staff of friendly volunteers makes this place. My private room was directly under the bar and a little loud, but it gets quiet at 11pm. It didn't bother me at all, but if I was having to get up crazy early the next day for something and trying to get to bed early, I would have asked to change.

Amazing view, the food is good value for money and great atmosphere.

If you like to party its a good place. Sleeping is pretty difficult thought as the floors are wooden and you hear every single step. And those that come back late at night wake you up again. It's pretty cold as the common rooms are only outside. In the end I thought it was fairly expensive, as breakfast isn't included.

Really lovely hostel with a great bar and lovely staff, the meals they put on each night are fantastic! The only problem is check out time is far too early-needs to be extended definitely!

Great idea of destroying wifi in the common area as it improves commincation.

Really good place to stay if you are in Quito! I just miss a 'warm place'. All the common/internet place don't have doors so it can be cold...

Quirky hostel with all the stairs, a killer when adjusting to altitude. Really good hostel breakfasts and dinners. Wifi access reasonable. Laundry across the road. Nice view from the bar/dining room. Unfortunately reception on the top floor at the bar, which can be annoying. Carpe Dm travel agency on the ground floor good to help organise tours.

Good people. Food was fair. Good breakfast (accept for the french toast, which was awful...and water not always hot enough to steep tea). Vegetarian dinners were fair. Perhaps they're better at the carnivorous option? Nice communal space with great view of the city. Main complaint, and reason we cancelled our last night was noise. It was EXTREMELY noisy and difficult to sleep. They have a happy hour so people get liquored up and loud and completely inconsiderate of those trying to sleep.

I think it's one of the best I have been to in South-America! Good location, good common areas, really nice, happy staff & volunteers, cheap and tasty maels in-house. The hostel has a strikt "go out to party or go to bed" policy at 11 pm and I think this is perfect! You have dinner at the restaurant/bar terras, meet some cool people, have some drinks and you go out in a big group and let the people who are tired go to sleep quietly. I also absolutly loved the Cotopaxi Secret Garden!!
