Online it's not possible to book a dorm bed. The new owner wasn't fully aware of the cancellation policy of Hostelworld. Expensive food. The taxi driver the owner is working with asks tremendous amounts and is NOT willing to bargain. The owner started to decorate things the Chinese way: e.g. blue lights. No maps. Fellow guests tried the bikes for 5min, but they turned out to be of crappy quality. The good reviews must still date from the previous owners, I highly recommend giggling tree instead.

Very helpful and lovely location.

We were a little surprised by the amount of construction around and the constricted lane leading to The Stone Bridge. We had one evening meal and it was adequate. The breakfasts were wholesome. Walking back at night from the city required us to walk along a road which was quite dark with no street lighting. The hosts were very civil and polite.

The good service started before we even arrived, our taxi from Guilin couldn't find the hostel and so Ahlong(the owner ) came and met us on his moped . It was late and dark and raining and we had a 8 and 10 yr old with us so this was so appreciated! As soon as we arrived we received such a warm welcome from Jessie and Freda and the 2 puppies made our girls holiday!nothing was too much trouble the whole visit, you really felt looked after.our tip is to get them to arrange transfers from the airport

A very nice, quiet hostel away from the hustle and bustle of Yangshuo. The staff is really nice. While there, my mom had a bad bike accident. They were very sympathetic and helped us change our plans for the day. The two old owners are leaving Yangshuo, but the new owner seems very nice, too. The location was a bit inconvenient at the end of the day, but if you rent a bicycle or motorcycle, it's fine. A great hostel for those trying to escape the commercial, party side of the city.

This hostel is a breath of fresh air, away from the craziness of Yangshou. The owners were really really nice and friendly. They were really lovely to chat with. Beautiful place!

Nice and quiet place. Owners are very nice and helpful. Lots of services ("family dinner", bike renting, massage...). I was just a little surprise about the airport pickup service which is not really "pickup": you meet them in the city and they help you find the right bus, afterthought I am not sure it worths the money...

Owner Comment (Hide)
Hi, just to clarify, the "airport pickup/bus service" is not a service that we provide, that bus run is controlled by a private company and not run by the hotel. We offer to help guests to book seats on any bus that they may wish to catch and as its very confusing for guests to know which bus to catch , we, the stone bridge, provide an "escort" service and take our guests to the bus station and put them onto the right bus. WE DO NOT CHARGE for escorting guests to the bus, its a courtesy

The excellence of this place cannot be overstated: Jessy and Stephen are the friendliest people I met in Asia, and they know exactly how to go about doing any activity in the Yangshuo/Guilin area you might be interested in, be it a river cruise, renting motorbikes, scenic spots, or just walking in the surrounding villages. We stayed there 4 nights in mid-June. The place is about a 15 minute walk from Yangshuo proper, and that keeps it quiet and peaceful at all times of the day (and night).

What can I say? Fantastic hostel run by a friendly couple. Jessie and ahLong are extremely helpful and make you feel welcome attending to your every needs. Felt more like a B&B. Single rooms are modern, spacious and clean. Jessie cooks the best Full English in China and their bread was very good. They are helpful in offering suggestions on places to visit. The hostel also organised my bus to Guilin and transported me to the bus stop. Excellent service!

I wish there was a category above excellent for staff because the owners are amazing! Very down to earth, helpful and charming. Jessy helped us plan each day, took care of bookings for us and Ah Long took us to the bus station. Amazing place! Don't stay anywhere else! And the breakfast is great in the morning.
