This hostel is a breath of fresh air, away from the craziness of Yangshou. The owners were really really nice and friendly. They were really lovely to chat with. Beautiful place!
Hands down the best place I stayed in China.... Hosts were amazing and went out of their way to make my stay comfortable, awesome breakfasts, great value for the money. Wouldn't stay anywhere else in yangshuo!!!
Nice and quiet place. Owners are very nice and helpful. Lots of services ("family dinner", bike renting, massage...). I was just a little surprise about the airport pickup service which is not really "pickup": you meet them in the city and they help you find the right bus, afterthought I am not sure it worths the money...
The excellence of this place cannot be overstated: Jessy and Stephen are the friendliest people I met in Asia, and they know exactly how to go about doing any activity in the Yangshuo/Guilin area you might be interested in, be it a river cruise, renting motorbikes, scenic spots, or just walking in the surrounding villages. We stayed there 4 nights in mid-June. The place is about a 15 minute walk from Yangshuo proper, and that keeps it quiet and peaceful at all times of the day (and night).

What can I say? Fantastic hostel run by a friendly couple. Jessie and ahLong are extremely helpful and make you feel welcome attending to your every needs. Felt more like a B&B. Single rooms are modern, spacious and clean. Jessie cooks the best Full English in China and their bread was very good. They are helpful in offering suggestions on places to visit. The hostel also organised my bus to Guilin and transported me to the bus stop. Excellent service!

I wish there was a category above excellent for staff because the owners are amazing! Very down to earth, helpful and charming. Jessy helped us plan each day, took care of bookings for us and Ah Long took us to the bus station. Amazing place! Don't stay anywhere else! And the breakfast is great in the morning.

Great stay here for 3 nights. ahLong and Jessy are super helpful in planning anything you want and giving advice/recommendations. Will happily go back and recommend this place to others.
This was the cleanest hostel I have ever stayed at in China. As advertised, it was in a village that necessitated a walk along the river, but it was Quiet! The only sounds after the sun went down was a rare dog barking or the sounds of chickens. The hosts were excellent in getting me bus tickets, and were quite knowledgeable about the area. Services were always provided in a prompt and friendly fashion. The owners provided the necessary refrigerator for my medical needs as well.
This was the best hostel I've stayed at in China. Jessie and Along are very friendly and helpful, the location is mellow and peaceful but just a quick bike ride from town, the facilities are incredibly clean, and Jessie's cooking was fantastic. I highly recommend staying there.
Fantastic hostel. Steve is really a great host, always ready to give great advice and help you. He is really dedicated to ensure their guests have a great time. He even came with me a few times in town to help me hire a scooter or make sure I got on the right bus back to the airport. The location is really quiet, which is why I chose it at the first place, and that was certainly a great decision as in town it is way too noisy. You can also eat great breakfasts and other things.

Great guesthouse with nice and knowledgable staff. it's located in a peaceful village away from the noise and hawkers of Yangshuo. Watch for the signs in the trees and blue spray painted arrows to guide you there.
Loved the managers. Extremely helpful and friendly. Made our stay great. The hostel is a fair walk out of town (15 to 20 minutes) and maybe a little harder to find when it gets dark but it has a more peaceful countryside feel to it that we really enjoyed. Not really a hostel for the party life but an awesome hostel to chill and relax at and meet new, fun people.
Hostel Owners: Best you'll ever find! Location: Lovely quiet location on the hill - and still very close to the action and centre of town Food: Excellent (best Muesli ever and the most delicious green veggies with garlic you'll ever taste)! Cleanliness: Spotless! Rooms: Very big, bright, extremely clean with air conditioning - stunning view of mountains Assistance: Excellent assistance on tours and things to do in the area
I had a pleasant stay at this hostel. +ve: The hostel owner/managers owners are Australians and are very easy going, straight forward and is keen to assist all travelers with good local information. There is also well run Kungfu/Tai Chi school next door and visitors welcome to join in. -ve: This place is 30 minute walk away from town. So not suitable for people who are on a quick one day stop over. If you intend to spend few days in Yangshuo this is a good place to stay.
The Stone Bridge is exceptionally clean and quiet. My room was enormous and the bathroom was top notch. AhLong goes out of her way to help you and make you feel at home. The only thing worth considering is the distance from town as this makes the place quiet and relaxing but also a fairly long trek after a days activities or dinner in town. It's an unlit path back and I felt nervous at times walking back at night so this place is probably better for couples than a solo female traveller.
We had a private double room which was absolutely beautiful . the owners were very helpful and made us feel welcome in their home . This is a 4 star hotel at a hostel price .
What a lovely place. A pleasant walk away from the town center (with very clear instructions about how to find it), it's quiet, peaceful, overlooking hills and farms. Comfy, clean dorms, rooftop terrace, lounge with DVD etc. Run by a couple who really make you feel as if you were part of the family, give you great hike/bicycle/onward travel etc advice. Great cooking - I loved the dinner and the family-style eating together. Peaceful place - it is not a party hostel! It's like being at home.
Our stay at The Stone Bridge couldn't have been better. Even though we stayed their while Yangshuo was getting hit with the back end of a typhoon, Jessie and Stephen couldn't have been more hospitable. It felt much less like a hostel and more like a home stay or bed and breakfast. It's also outside of the crowded streets of Yangshuo in the quiet countryside, but close enough to make trips into town fast and easy. I highly recommend a stay at The Stone Bridge!
What really sets the Stone Bridge apart from other hostels are the couple who own and manage it. I cannot speak highly enough of them and the effort they go to to give you information and help you organise your visit. Jessy and Steven were both wonderful throughout our stay and for that reason I would highly recommend the hostel to anyone. However, be warned, the dorm rooms on the top floor did not have air con and it was unseasonably hot during our visit which was quite uncomfortable at night.
