Spent one night, and I really enjoyed it. Bed was nice, shower was hot, food was affordable (so was the beer), staff was friendly, locker was spacious, bonfire was cool, the atmosphere was great, and I got to play a lot of ping pong. Also it was really cheap.

I read the feedback some people left where they had a complain and its bullsh*t, this place is a tent, so sure it's not perfect but they made something really amazing here. being a non profit the best interests are with the guests and so the facilities are pretty good they do food and sell beer at a reasonable price. loved it!

Great place for a birthday! Fab atmosphere

Really enjoyed staying here, although it took a tram to get here, not complaining. Great atmosphere, even in the rain, and good facilitates. Would definitely stay here again!

Like others have said, know what you're getting into. It's a huge tent with 100 beds in it. The lights stay on till 1:00 am and people start waking up around 7:30. Earplugs are a must if you're not a heavy sleeper. If that all sounds okay to you, you'll love it. The atmosphere is cool and they serve good food for good prices. Wifi barely works (try sitting in the restaurant close to the computers).

Great experience for something different from the usual hostel. A lot of people around a lays up for good time.

Amazing hostel. Loved the tent, the ping pong tables, the foossball, the piano room, the sofas everywhere, the cafeteria, the people and more. It's not perfect but it's an amazing idea and it's pretty well organized. Had an amazing time. By the way, it's not really close to the city centre, so only go if you want to be away or if you don't mind paying for the tram that only takes ten minutes anyway.

The tent is a really great hostel. It have the best atmosphere and are a good places for backpackers. It is a bit primitiv so be prepared for that. The have a god cafeteria with cheap food.

If you want sleep and privacy the tent is not for you but if you want beer and pingpong than its the place to be! The shower facilities were good though never the hotest, the kitchen was large and decently stocked. My only issues would be that there are not electrical sockets by the beds so people would be wandering around the grounds looking for a free outlet and then having to sit with there phone till it charged!

Interesting place. Social and fun. Nice facilities. Main drawback was the mostly useless internet. 15-20 minutes to the main station, and more to the centre, but probably well worth it.

An awesome place for anyone looking to meet new people and a cheap place to stay. The 100 bunk tent was really fun and I had no problem being surrounded by people although it is loud and bright until 1:15 and then everyone goes to bed. The tram is about 20 minutes to the main train station and runs all night which is perfect if you want to explore the bars of Munich at night and stay up later than 1:00

Security AVERAGE: bring a padlock with you; location POOR althoug tram 17 takes you to center; staff AVERAGE (arrogant, sometimes rude or simply indifferent); atmosphere GOOD for couples and groups, perhaps boring for solo travelers; cleanliness TERRIBLE: I received a dirty set of 'linen' without a pillow so value for money is POOR, a bed in dorm shouldn't cost more than 6 euros per night (even a camp for refugees/damnified is in better conditions); facilities are OK (wifi hasn't any security).

Absolutely brilliant. A bit out of the centre but still, well worth the journey (it's just at the end of the metro line - I'm being picky)

All the facilities were good. A vegetarian has little choice in the canteen, so u can think over this. Rest all is fine.. Thanks ''The Tent'' for making our stay a wonderful one..

I had a really fantastic time at the Tent. Keith and all the other staff were so friendly and helpful. It's a lot easier to meet other travelers than at other hostels I've stayed in. The atmosphere is great at nighttime with people gathering around the bonfire to talk or have a singalong. It is definitely the most unique hostel i've ever stayed in and I would recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere cheap, clean and with a good buzz about it.

Interesting place, but the cheapest option you can get in Munich.

This place is incredible! The food was cheap and the beds were comfy. The bonfire was great fun every night and it's a great place to meet others. It's not inconveniently far away and there's a tram that runs 24 hours straight into the centre of Munich. I will definitely stay there again and would highly recommend it to everyone!

Just great atmosphere and staff, a bit out in the sticks but close to a tram line.

This was such a fun hostel! Definitely the best hostel we stayed at in Germany. There are tons of fun things to do while you're there like badminton, ping pong, basketball, etc., and the bbq on the weekend is yummy and a great way to hang out and meet people! It was really interesting sleeping with 100 people in a tent, but I'd definitely do it again! Staff is awesome as well!

A really cool campsite with a really nice chilled atmosphere. They have a campfire every night which is a great way to meet people. Also, the staff are really friendly and helpful :)
