The hostel/tent had a great atmosphere. We arrived to people hanging out around a campfire, playing darts, table tennis and drinking cheap but good beer. The hostel was a bit out of the way but public transport made this not a huge issue. Facilities were good but wifi was pretty useless, even for a hostel. It was a bit of a shame about the staff who weren't overly helpful and sometimes even completely resistant. Regardless I would stay here again but only for the atmosphere.

The beds in the large dorm are pretty dirty and the room kinda smells because there's 100 people. The blankets they give you, some of 'em smell like they're washed and some smell pretty dirty. You can always go and get new blankets which is nice! Bathrooms are very clean and nice. They serve delicious dinner for cheap and there's a camp fire around so is easy to meet people and the atmosphere's very solid!Staff're really friendly and helpful.Wifi's really bad! It's hard to get a connection!

Amazing unique place to stay, great atmosphere, cheap cafe, comfy beds and dorm was actually really quiet. Really handy to have lockers too. However, camp fire gets put too very early, very hot in the morning and wifi didn't work at all. This was very frustrating as I had to look at buses and trains for the next day to book the next part of my journey. Not very central location wise either but easy to get to on the tram.

Will definitely stay again. It's not too far out on the tram and it was so good staying somewhere quite cold instead of a stuffy room! Especially with the temperature at 30+ degrees. The beds are basic but more than ok and comfy.

Had an absolute blast and loved it! Will come again next time i visit Munich. I was wary at first in terms of security, but there were plenty of lockers big enough to fit everything! Awesome vibe- spot on. Thanks!

Such a cool environment! Only negative was that the wifi didn't work...

Best hostel I've ever stayed at. Very unique. - feels like camping while still having luxuries of a hostel. The bonfire is lots of fun and it is really easy to meet people. Delicious and healthy food at really reasonable prices. Will definitely be back!

It's better to write on hostelworld.com that they want to hold your passport (like a deposit), or you have to hand in 15 euros. Now I had to go find an ATM, because I hadn't the 15 euros.

Great place with great people. The Tent makes a great effort to get everybody socializing, it's just a shame you only have until 1am to do so. Apart from that though the tent is perfect and the staff were all really friendly.

I only stayed one night, but i really liked the atmosphere there! The nice big warm fire in the evening, that you could get a bier there if you liked. I slept in the big 100 man tent, which was a first! It wasn't too bad noise wise. Otherwise the mattresses where fine and everything was clean. And i'm glad the nice guys at the reception gave me 4 blankets to sleep with! I had just come from Rome where it was 10-15 degrees warmer during the night!

So good! The dorm is huge so it's not cramped, even with 100 people. Great deals at the bar for beer and food! Staff awesome! There is a tram close to the hostel that is only a 15-20min ride into the centre.

Excellent hostel, nice little retreat from the centre of the city. Its a very social atmosphere so making friends is easy. Only mild qualm would be the lack of wifi, the snoring ogre, and the cold. They give you plenty of blankets though so if you really have to you can just smother shrek.

The dorm is clean and the bathrooms were spotless with good water pressure and temperature consistency (when not everyone is using them at once) Wifi works, but gets a bit slow when there is a lot of people using it but that's everywhere!

For backpackers its perfect. The atmosphere is great and in warmer, sunny days, everything is great. Just one problem I had - it was really cold, even under 5 blankets.

It was about a half hour in to the main centre by tram but there is a tram right near the hostel which is great! Lots of friendly people and every night they had a fire so everyone could be out and chat. Kitchen could have been cleaner but at least they had one and warm showers. Just be careful of valuables and bring a lock for sure! 100+ people in a room can get sketchy on where your stuff ends up. Pretty good hostel for the price!

The Tent Munich is exactly what advirtises - a tent for 100 people. If you go there having that thought on your mind, you will have a good time there. The bed is confortable, the bathrooms are extraordinarily cleaned and the staff is very nice. The downside was the common kitchen, it was very messy not because of the staff but because some people tend to forget that it is a shared place. Good for short stays in Munich.

Best place to meet other travellers! Location not very central though, and security is slim to none. Charge your phone at reception to prevent it going missing. Great vibe and nice food served for a good price.
