Lots of great people here. Definitely recommend it if you are in Antigua. Quiet close to the market and the central park. The actual terrace is amazing, especially when Fuego erupts! Oh yeah, and the couple that own it are amazing, and their dog is adorable.

I would definitely stay at this hostel again, if only for the amazing and friendly staff. I felt so at home and so comfortable - you really feel like one of the family! The rooftop bar is one of the best places in the city to meet people, see the volcano erupt, and drink cheap beer. Thank you for an incredible week!

Standard hostel. Great breakfast, and easy location for arriving/leaving from the buses at the market. Full of stereotypical American male travelers that gave the place a certain vibe that didn't do anything for me. Wi-Fi was slow also. No real issues in terms of a place to stay, but you could probably find somewhere with a bit more charm for the same price in Antigua.

I really enjoyed my stay at The Terrace - and I´m going to stay there when I get back to Antigua! The staff is friendly, helpful and just soooo nice! Good party-vibe as well! STAY HERE!

We loved our stay at the Terrace was so great, as soon as we arrived we felt immediately at home. the rooms were really nice and clean and the courdyard downstairs is cool and calm for reading books etc. The upstairs bar is really fun for drinking, but also really nice to have dinner up there and watch the sunset or eat breakfast with the most amazing view of Volcano Agua. Also its position makes it so easy to get around Antigua as it is 5 minutes walk from Parque Centrale, there is a pharmacy across the ro

LOVE this hostel, great staff, great owners and such a central location! I've extended my stay about 3 times now!

Great location and the view from the terrace is amazing! Our room was opposite the bathroom and every time someone put the bathroom light on in the night, it woke you up and it was really noisy too.... You could hear everything! Internet is intermittent and we had to go to the Internet cafe mostly.... The breakfast though.... Now that is something very very special and welcomed after months of bread and jam!!!!

Great hostelwith a great view! Friendly atmosphere for solo travelers. I ended up staying a couple of extra nights. Wifi is not great, but that should be something anyone can get around (and sometimes it worked better on the roof). The rooftop bar has a spectacular view and the owners BBQ often. Not a place you'll regret staying!

A great time can be had at the Terrace bar on the roof. Happy hour prices were very good and the vegan chili was excellent. Room was overpriced. Wi-fi signal was extremely weak in room.

It was great and fun, a really good option for a little more of a laid back mellow experience, but everyone was still hanging out and having a great time.

Owner Comment (Show)
I am sorry that the hostel was a little loud for you. We do advertise that we have a rooftop bar that can create a very social atmosphere sometimes. However, we always shut down at 11pm to make sure that all guests that want to sleep can rest and everyone else can head out to the late night bars. We are a nicer hostel than others in town but we are also a very social hostel. We hope all guests take that into consideration when choosing our hostel.

Great hostel. Owners and management definitely go out of their way to make your stay there an enjoyable one. Good location too. Close to the markets and also to the main park.

We based our whole trip in Guatemala pretty much from The Terrace, they helped with everything and we were so stoked with how Brant, Bekki, Shelby, and Gabriel helped us with everything. They helped us get to Tikal, set us up with a crazy monkey man guide, and made sure we had good accommodation in Lake Atitlan. Stay here :) Hanging out on the Terrace was fun with Beers at Sunset to kick off the night!

Great team at the terrace hostel, very friendly and hospitable. The roof top was beautiful and we are just sorry we couldn't stay for the communal dinner or the opening of the restaurant.
