we staied in the low season, they had more of their friends constantly at the hostel than guest, and a warning.. their bunks are 3 high (very high) and the staff spent most of there time getting high

The hostel was fine, we stayed out of peak season, so it was pretty quiet, and the staff had around large groups of their friends each night, which meant they sort of dominated the kitchen and lounge areas which was a bit annoying when we were the ones actually paying for the use of the hostel. Anyway, hostel was clean and tidy, breakfast was standard. The location was good. I wouldn´t like to be staying in a dorm in peak season as the bunks were three beds high, with the top two having no rails

This hostel has the nicest staff, who gladly set up an impulsive jam session. They are good musicians and in general very nice and guestfriendly. The hostel is decorated with hip and colourful wall paintings, the kitchen is free for use and well equipped, and the toilets are clean. It is close to the beach, and what can I say: If you are going to Punta del Este this is the place to be.

This hostel is one of the best hostels we have ever stayed at (we have all been at a lots of hostels!!). The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was just perfect; just in the middle of the town between two really nice beaches. Their were a great atmosphere; people hang out in the bar, played live music, made asador and relaxed in front of the television. There was a really nice rooftop as well, we enjoyed before and after the beach. Nice and clean dorm rooms, toilets and kitchen.

The Trip Hostel has a great atmosphere, the location is the best it could be, right between the 2 beaches and 2 blocks from bus station, all the staff are awesome, met some great people there, the 12 shared bed i guess its the only room wich doesnt have air conditioning so it may not be good for naps during the day, Punta gets Hot during summer! Highly recommended for sure!

The guys who own the hostel are great. They are all really friendly & make sure that everyone is enjoying themselves. They go above and beyond to ensure that guests needs are met & that any questions one may have are given special attention to. The facilities of the hostel are always clean. The bathrooms always have TP, soap, and great showers. We intended on only spending a couple nights here, but it's been almost a week and we're still here! Top class hostel.

This is a great hostel! It is about a 4 minute walk to each beach- great location. The staff are a lot of fun and make a great atmosphere! If you are looking for a fun hostel to make friends, have a great location, and have a great place to hang out- this is it! They have scooter rentals, towel rentals, etc, etc. They were a great resource for fun events in Punta del Este and were very helpful getting around the city! I would stay here again for sure!

This hostel is ideal for teenagers and young backpackers looking for fun. Not the best choice for grown up travellers... We left after the first night even though we had payed for two.

There is a machine or something above the room roof which was very noise during all day. The room doesn´t have any windows, it became a little bit warm inside.
