Due to a criminal act, the water pipes of 2nd and 3rs floor were broken and flooded the floor of every room. Instead of contact us meanwhile we were away in the beach or look for another hostel to sleep the following nights, they gave us some bed sheets to put over the wet bed. We could sleep and they didn't give us our money back. Awful experience.

We had 3 nights with my girlfriend in Tropics Hostel. Room for 2. You found everything you need for you money. Just the locks on the doors are very weak. Sould be changed for safety.

If you are planning to rent a car, there is a public parking that will cost you $16 per night, right on the corner of the hostel. Besides that, the hostel it is located 5 min from the beach and fron the main pubs in south miami. I would say location is the best quality of the property. The only problem is that there is no breakfast.

The best value for money in Miami Beach. There were some problems with other people in the dorm, but it has been solved in the end.

This place was awesome. The staff was very professional and accommodating. The only think I have to mention is the old damp smell in the lobby. Just just some air freshener periodically. I will be back next year! LJ

Excellent location, and you definitely can't beat the price. The hostel rooms (or at least the one we stayed in) were a bit grungy, but you can't really be picky. You're only there to sleep. We had trustworthy roommates in our four-person hostel room, so nothing was stolen.

Big bright dorm rooms, all with ensuite. I was sick when I was here and spent a lot if time in the room. Beds are comfy and the cleaners do a great job. Big pool on site with deck chairs and a computer in the lobby for use. Wifi only worked in the lobby. Location can't be beat for the price, right near Lincoln Rd shopping, Espanola Way and 2 blocks from the beach. Coin laundry on site which I didn't use. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice place, perfect location to see Miami Beach. The best if you don't want to pay too much but neither be in a bad place!

Lack of free breakfast. Staff (receptionists) poorly trained. Beds weren't cleaned when we arrived (I blame receptionists who probably didn't even inform the cleaners to do that). Some misunderstandings about which beds are free and which are occupied.

I thought the reviews on Hostel World have been too harsh. There is really nothing to complain about - it's a super cheap place to stay that is a block from the beach. It was safe, clean and comfy enough for me to be more than comfortable. What more can you ask for from a hostel?? If you're looking for the trendiest/best smelling/mint-on-the-pillow kind of place then go to a 4star hotel & pay for it, if you're looking for a safe place to crash for a fun weekend in South Beach, this is perfect

The hostel i s not bad, it's centrally located, close to the beach and the main streets. There is a small pool as well. The rooms are however quite humid and smelly, the corridors even more so. The evelavator didn't work, the safe neither. For a couple of nights only and given the prices of the rest of the hostels, it's OK.

Good option if you want to stay in a great spot in South Beach and not spend a huge amount. Rooms are not much and the building is pretty run down but was ok. Don't expect anything much and don't spend a huge amount of time here and you will be fine.
