Nice location near a Skytrain stop (Sala Daeng) and the Patpong Night Market. Bathrooms consisted of two shower stalls and a toilet on floors 3, 4 and 5, each leading into the hallway, which was slightly weird and not very private. Hostel had one computer to use (only the first 5 minutes were free; after that they charged), and they didn't have a printer (this was extremely annoying since there was no convenient internet cafe nearby). Dorm beds were okay, but no electrical plugs near upper bunks

Dear Guest, Thank you for your review. The bathrooms in our hostel are shared. There are doors and can be locked, so it is very private and safe once you are in there. For computer, our computer in the hostel has been hardly used because nowadays many guests have their own laptops and smart phones. We provide free wifi 24 hrs. For the printer, there are printer shops/internet cafes nearby (only a few mins walks from the hostel). We have already checked with our staff and we found that you did ask for the printer at 11 pm which the shops are already closed. We explained to you that we can print it for you the next day but you left very early on that day. For the electrical plugs in the room, there are. You can see them from the bottom of your bed. Next time if you have any special request that you need during your stay, please come to talk to us directly so that we can make your stay pleasant. Regards, Urban age

Only sleeping on the floor would be worse than those mattresses

Dear guest, Thank you for your response. We are not sure what you meant with the mattress. The mattress which we provided in our hostel is not a soft sunken one, but firm enough to support your back. Mattress is quite subjective, some prefer soft, some prefer hard. When you checked out, we did ask you how your stay with us was. You said it was no problem. Next time, during your stay, if you have any special request or anything, feel free to let us know. Regards, Urban age

Just off Silom road ( a hot spot : night market, shops, groceries, restaurants...), 100 m from Sala Daeng BTS station, 200 m from Silom MRT station, the location is unbeatable. Beware however, dorms are on 6th floor without elevator and there is a certain lack of character. Staff very nice.

I have stayed four nights in this Hostel from 11 October 2011, and I have liked it. It's a not too big hostel in what I have learned businessdistrict of Bangkok, and not in the area with most hostels Walking distance to the Royal Palaca is between 1 hour and 1h15minutes. The hostel is clean, it's neat and the staff is very friendly, helpfull and interested in what you plan to visit in the city. I have enjoyed my stay, although in that period not so many backpackers visited Bangkok.

I have stayed here many times and every time it gets better. The staff are fantastic. The location is great and it is very easy to get here from the airport or Mo Chit Bus Station. It is close to the skytrain and metro.

Needs a common room. Dorms were cramped, very small locker space. Grand hostel if all you need to do is have somewhere to lay your head.

Dear Guest, Thank you for your review. Our common room is downstairs and you had even sat and had a coffee. Our locker in the dorm is big enough which you can fit some of your belongings in it. The dorm is spacious. However, at the time you were here, there were a few guests who had quite a great amount of belongings which had taken most of the space in the room. They had cleared up and the room is back to normal. Next time, if you have any difficulties or doubts during your stay, feel free to let us know on the spot so we can make your stay the most comfortable. Regards, Urban Age

Location is very good, near by BTS and METRO and food court. Night is not so noisy even if the hostel is near by Pappon. A dorm room is at 6 floor, but no lift. It's a little hard. Laundry is a little far from hostel.

Dear guest, Thank you for review. We are so sorry that due to the sturcture of our building hostel, there is no elevator. Although our dorm is on 6th floor, our stairs are quite low, so it is fast and easy to get there. Or, if you do not want to carry your luggage up all the way, our staff are happy to help or we have a storage room on lower floor:) For laundry service, the lacal laundry shop nearby is only a 10-minute nice walk:) Regards, Urban Age

The different types of rooms which I have visited and surveyed at the Urban Age Hostel are more spacious, clean and tidy as compare with the other hostels which I have stayed in Bangkok before. On 14th Sept,2011, I stayed in the Double Room on the 4th floor(no window)but with air-conditioner and enjoyed with deep and peaceful sleep, spacious, clean & tidy room. The 2 Bed Dorm(2nd floor)with air-con,spacious,clean & tidy room which I have stayed.Bathrooms & toilets, spacious & clean.Staffs are friendly

The staff here make a rather ordinary hostel exceptional. Of course it is located in a busy and chaotic place, but they really work to ensure that your visit is comfortable. The beds are the biggest complaint we had, but few places in SE Asia seem to accommodate travelers unhappy with springs poking them all night. Go figure. Right after confirming our reservation, we got emails from the hostel confirming everything and offering advice on how to get there and adjusting our arrangements.

Dear guest, Thank you so much for your nice review. It was our pleasure accomodating you. About the bed, we have checked and found that one of the bed parts was missing which made the spring came off. Therefore, we have changed a new bed and everything is ok now. Next time, please feel free to let us know straightaway if there is any matter occurs during your stay. All the best, Urban Age

The hostel is a bit old but clean and neat. Staff are three exceptional friendly and helpful staff. It's right on the back of Silom road, easy access to the new city center and shopping places.
