Location: Not good in the sense that it's on a very main road with no footpaths. Cleanliness: Although the bed sheets were clean, regarding the bathroom & general cleanliness of the whole hostel I would give it 2* out of 5*. Atmosphere: Absolutely dead. It is low season but there was NOTHING doing on. No music. Never anyone around to even buy a drink at the bar. Nothing. Do not visit in low season. Thankfully the wifi is good so we ended up binge watching Netflix.
Thank you for your feedback! Please notice that footpaths are a city problem and not a hostel problem. All hostels really near the beach on the east side of the island (which is the nicest one) suffer with no good sidewalks (mole, joaquina, campeche and part of barra da lagoa). If you stay at the city part you'll have stores and sidewalks but no beach! Just to park a car in mole beach will cost from 10 to 15 reais. In september someone can spend the night at the hostel, with breakfast, 5 minutes from the beach for 35 reais (10,5 dólars). It looks like a fair deal to us. Surely the hostel (and the city as a whole) lacks atmosphere during low season. It is a summer place. But we apologize for the inconvenience. We always strive to provide our guests with the best service possible. Thanks again!

The View is a sanctuary to rest and recharge. It sits on top of a beautiful wooded mountain area, and has views to one of the best beaches in Floripa, Praia Mole. It feels quiet and peaceful on the property, but it is also in walking distance to the lagoa and all the bars and restaurants. The rooms are clean, showers are hot, and breakfast is nice. Andre, the manager, will make sure you are comfortable and have what you need... and he also makes a great caipirinha ;) Loved my time here!
