Terrible location; right next to the train tracks, the noise was loud and constant. Also, I didn't feel comfortable walking around the area at night as a solo female. Showers: absolutely terrible. Either no hot water, or not water pressure. Plus, long lines to wait for a turn to take a shower.

Overall I enjoyed the stay for the location and price. The facilities had some issues such as overflowing showers, the beds were extremely uncomfortable and the staff were hit and miss at times on friendliness. I would probably never stay here again but it's a decent value for the money given its proximity to so many famous sites.
Pros: Staff are really friendly and helpful; great location. Cons: Squeaky beds; not enough bathrooms; tired and grubby decor.
Great staff and hostel. Located right beside the main train station so easy to find. Wish the lockers in the room were bigger. Also noisy because the hospital is around the corner and the trains stop running around midnight so bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper. Otherwise the staff and people there were pretty awesome. Location is very walkable to the Tower and Eye of London.
I had a great stay at The Walrus! The bar downstairs is a definite plus. The staff is very friendly. The location is great-- less than 10 minute walk from Big Ben and the London Eye. Very close to a tube station. The showers were disappointing. Only one per floor and usually cold. Lockers in rooms were very small-- able to fit a purse or camera but definitely not a suitcase or duffle bag. Everything was fairly clean. Linen and towels are provided. Wifi is super fast. I would stay here again!
loved having the bar downstairs, great for meeting people! staff is very friendly and helpful. not very many outlets in the room to charge electronics mostly had to charge my phone downstairs in the bar. one shower on every floor so sometimes was hard to find a shower in the morning. all in all would stay again, the walrus has a great atmosphere
The Hostel itself was cool with a nice common area and a good breakfast. Well connected with the bus and close to the Big Ben. The staff was helpful and the room was quite clean. Average.
This was a very fun stay. The staff was excellent- very friendly and helpful. The only complaints I have are that the facilites (Eg. Shower) were in need of repair/cleaning, and the bar downstairs seemed to attract an older crowd. This made it difficult to meet fellow travelers my age.
It's a really lovely place to stay, clean and warm. I found the code system to access rooms pretty complicated (read: sometimes you can spend a lot of time typing your room code, trying it over and over, before your door will finally open). Mind it's located under a bridge, people with light sleep may struggle a bit to fall asleep.
Clinton and the rest of the staff were great! Good location. I would definitely stay there again.
Pros: Staff were lovely, great security, good location a 5 min walk from Big Ben and the London eye, loved the free breakfast. Cons: the shower head in the 4th floor bathroom wouldn't stay in it the holder and it was quite frustrating, our room was boiling despite having a window open on a cool night and the pillows were too thin/flimsy. I'm not usually one to complain but I suppose you have to point out things that affect your stay negatively
Location is nice because it is close to Lambeth North, but it is loud in the evenings trying to sleep as all the trains into Waterloo go by outside the window.
I liked the attached bar because that was an easy way to meet people staying there
Very very good location! although the breakfast is quite simple, it's free and convenient to have it in downstairs pub. A little bit expensive in Saturday, but it took me only 15 min to walk to Buckingham Palace.
