The staff was amazing. Alex pulled out a city map and circled all the places we should visit and they where all great recommendations. The breakfast was simple with cereal, toast, etc, but that's all I ever eat for breakfast so I was happy. The location is perfect. Short walk across the bridge to Westminster Abbey (big Ben and London eye) also a bus stop right in front of hostel that runs 24/7 and a tube right down the street. No ac but its fine with the windows open.
Awesome hostel, awesome staff. The place is clean and the downstairs bar is a really cool place to hang out. Great location. All around great hostel.
The only thing is the noise of nearby trains at times. Otherwise thop notch.
This hostel is perfect for anyone who wants to meet people in a safe and fun environment. There are two security codes you need to enter your dorm via the front door, making this hostel one of the safest I've stayed at. The location is also amazing, only a stone's throw from the Westminster Bridge, from which you can see Big Ben and the London Eye! Overall, this hostel is definitely worth staying at. And the pub downstairs was a definite bonus!
It is very close to the city center, few minutes fron London eye, just next to train station making the place bit noisy.
The pub downstairs is indeed nice, so is the very helpful and open staff. But this is where good things end. In my tiny 10 bed dorm spending the night was a horror. Trains arriving at Waterloo station make a lot of noise and there is plenty of them. Beds are old and one could feel every spring in the mattress. Oh, and bathrooms - there are some 5 for the whole hostel and wash basins are only where the showers are, so if you want to brush your teeth or simply wash your hands you have to wait!
Loved the staff and location of The Walrus!! Would definitely stay there again!! I would recommend this hostel to anyone.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast in the morning was good and the location was perfect.
This hostel is very near tube station (Lambeth North & Waterloo). Staff is really kind and helpful. Due to this hostel is near Waterloo rail station, so it's quite noisy because the room is near the train track, but this hostel can provide guest earplug. The train noise normally stop after midnight and start again before 6. Good value breakfast (bread, jam, cereal, biscuit, juice, tea, coffee, banana, apple Wifi at bar downtairs is better than in room. Aware of bathroom traffic during 8-9am
I loved my stay at the Walrus Hostel. It was one of the best hostels I stayed at. It is definitely not a place for light sleepers as it is right next to Waterloo train station so you'll hear trains almost all night, but otherwise, it was perfect. The staff was amazing. In particular Alex was wonderful. He takes the time to sit down with you individually and go over recommendations. It was also my birthday and all of the hostel staff celebrated with me! So my time there was very special.
The location is really good and the staff was really helpfull. One of the best hostels i've ever stayed.
great hostel, the pub downstair is very cool and the staff is VERY friendly!
Alex and his crew run a very welcoming and comfortable hostel in a great location. The hostel itself feels like a cross between a clubhouse and a college dormitory. But unlike college, everyone here was relatively respectful despite the cramped quarters. All of the staff at Walrus were beyond accommodating and nothing was ever a problem. They went out of their way to sit down with you and show you exactly how to navigate London either by bike, tube, or sidewalk. Stay here!
I really loved my stay in the Walrus. Not only the location is perfect (5 min walk to the House of Parlament), but also the staff is the most helpful I`ve ever met in a Hostel. I really recomend it.
Staffs are kind and helpful. Also, this hostel is near to main attractions in London.
This was by far the best hostel this far throughout my trip! Made lots of friends and the staff made it feel like you were at home! All your belongings are safe. Breakfast was great as well!! Already miss it!

There is a problem with london, there is no enough space, so finding good affordable accomodation and also well located can be an imposible task. Not with this hostel, the location is excelent, and the price is very good. It lacks of more common areas, but sinve is a small hostel, the pub below works just fine
Only stayed here one night but really enjoyed it. Wish I could have stayed longer.
