We thought the hostel was great, we stayed in a three bedroom area in the attic which was good. The staff on site was great in welcoming usl the nieghborhood was good and everything we needed was within walking distance.

It's really difficulty to find a place when you are so far from home, that you can feel like you be in home. This is the Wayfaring Buckeye Hostel!!

The dog living in the hostel that barked its head off every time someone entered was obnoxious. A noisy animal like that does not belong in a hostel. Get a cat. The staff was very nice and the place was clean.

Must be a cat person? Our small hypoallergenic dog WILL bark at you each time you enter the door. His name is Ziggy and he is super friendly and just does it for attention. We consider it as a positive for security purposes. We keep him in a separate area away from the door during sleeping hours.

Event though the Hostel is very cozy, I think that the small attic room should not exist.

Unfortunately the loft portion of our 5-Bed Mixed Dorm does have a lower ceiling clearance than the rest of the house. However, many of our guests tend to prefer the loft area over the two beds in the lower area.

This was an absolutely fantastic place to stay. The hostel itself and the individual rooms are very secure with digital locks and the facilities are great. It is really a home away from home and the staff are always eager to please. Definitely recommended if you are staying in the area.

What a lovely hostel. Too bad I had so little time to actually spend there as I was only in town for the Frank Turner concert.. Nice, comfortable and cheerful place in a pretty neighborhood. Thumbs up. For any of you wanting to get from CMH airport to the hostel by public bus. This is possible and it costs only USD2. Ask for a transfer when you pay. From CMH you first take bus 92 to Broad St, then 10 to High Street and finally 4 to Clinton. Can take up to 1.5 hour in total.

Fantastic hostel! Mat and Jeremy run the place very well; the dorms are comfortable, the bathrooms clean and functioning, and there are free bagels and juice in the morning. It's a twenty minute walk to OSU, and a $10-15 cab ride to downtown (there's the bus, too - $2). Highly recommended.

We are thrilled that you enjoyed our hostel. Guests looking to get to the OSU campus may also take advantage of the free shuttle bus that runs all day on weekdays, to and from campus.

Very clean, good location (in walking distance from OSU campus), great staffs! Fellow travelers were very nice too. It\'s all residential around the hostel, which is nice, but maybe a small sign on the door would help people to find this place more easily. Otherwise, nothing to say, the best hostel I\'ve ever stayed!

It was a pleasure meeting you and it is an honor that you consider us the best hostel you've ever been to. Unfortunately local zoning restrictions prohibit us from having an exterior sign, otherwise I completely agree with you.

The Wayfaring Buckeye was everything I needed and hoped for in my stay - the only thing to make it better would have been keypads for the individual rooms - that is a feature I have enjoyed in other great hostels around the world. Excellent, knowledgable staff and a perfect location for anyone with business at the OSU campus. Will be highly recommending this hostel to my colleagues also coming through the area for auditions!

Owner Comment (Show)
I'm glad your auditions went well! locks on the individual rooms is something we have been considering. For the time being, due to our small size, we will remain an open door hostel (with free lockers for guests to use)
