the staff is nice but they dont care about what is going on in the rooms. all night people were smoking inside and drinking and puking everywhere nobody cared although there were complains... Location is great, if you are teenager, it s for you , but if you r expecting more than a hostel then you should go and book hotel. :)

Very unclean, and not very secure, the facilities were not the best there was no room in the shower and toilet cubicles, no sanitary bins in the toilets, some one vomited all through the sink in the bathrooms and it wasn't cleaned for hours. Other guests in the hostel were a bit suspicious and we even had to have one man kicked out of the room because he was going through everyone's stuff. The staff were very helpful and nice and the location was good and very central.

The hostel has a great location (next to Damn Square). The rooms have lockers but you have to take your padlock. Room cleaning is done daily but is very poor. The atmosphere was good. It is enough for a short stay, for the price (I paid 15€ per night).

I think the hostel is very low level . The rooms and restroom are clean. Overall the site is for people with very low incomes. In case of accident or fire is very difficult to get out. I just be only 45 minutes and the receptionist very kindly understood the cituacion and refounded me the money. I had been in fantastic Hostels in other cities for the same price and breakast includ.

It's a good hostel to stay in if you're happy with basic living! Don't expect it to be quiet though :) It would also have been better if it had in-house laundry facilities.

Had a great time at the White Tulip! Lots of young travelers..on top of Irish pub, in the middle of Red Light District, extremely close to Central Station. Wouldn't have wanted to stay anywhere else!

The hostel was brilliant for our group, we had no trouble with the hostel at all even though we did party quite a bit. This is one of the best hostels for big groups as the staff are very accommodating. Location, location, location... absolute center of Amsterdam. The special deal with the downstairs pub for the hostel guests is also brilliant, super cheap food and relatively cheap drinks. The staff let us leave our luggage on site even after a whole 20 hours after checkout.

Toilets and showers could be cleaned more often so it would be more pleasant to brush my ass in there.

the rooms are not that much clean, also the staff is not helpful, they even don't smile or give friendly impression except one guy called Samir, the location is very good ,but the hostel stairs are very small so don't take big bags with u,i think there are many hostels in this area more better.

If you're a two foot hobbit, you might enjoy yourself. Constantly hit your head on the smashed up plaster on the ceiling, if you don't trip on the rickety stair, or slip on the broken pieces which don't get swept up. The uncontrollable thermostat in our room baked us overnight. This was after we got baked by the smell of marijuana. Beds are great if you enjoy waking up in the shape of a banana. Nearby church bells every 15 mins make you wish you stayed at Heart of Amsterdam instead.
