The Wild Fig is a wonderful hostel! Pay no attention to the naysayers on here! Beautiful hostel, well set out and only a few minutes from the bus station. Yes it might be a walk into town, but it's a lovely one up the coast, and this is a perfect hostel to feel like you're away from it all. Good facilities nearby too. But the best thing is the atmosphere, guests and staff! It's a real family feeling and you'll make friends for life if you stay a few days. Recommended.

Very nice stay at the hostel. The crew is very nice and has good advices what to do in Zadar. The rooms (we had a double room) are beautiful and the lounge (inside and outside ares) offers many options. There are secured parking options and the bus station of Zadar is quite in the near. There is beautiful "panorama"-walk (approx. 30 minutes) on the coast to old town and there is a shorter way through the streets.
Although this hostel was close to a supermarket, the location was far from old town (30+ mins walk). The interior was dark, the dorm was directly off the bar/common area (noisy) and the doom room door didn't shut easily so most people left it open, mozzies happily made their way in. The two nights we spent there we struggled to sleep; other noisy guests, one drunk guest very early in the morning in common area, lights in the room, + mozzies. Staff seemed to hav switched off for the season
Great place, 2min from the bus / train station, but about 20min from the old town.
