The fotos from the rooms and the hotel lobby that they display don´t correspond to the actual hotel and the features they say exist in the rooms like telephone, desk or wardrobe are not available. The place is cheap and ok if you really wanna save but it´s much worse than what is shown and, worse than that and like said before they are not true on what they offer on the website

Our room , located at the back of the building, was very clean, comfortable and quiet. We enjoyed the breakfasts and were particularly pleased with the wonderful advice and help we received from Mr. David and welcoming staff in planning our trips to Hoi An, Sapa and Cat Ba Island and Halong Bay. A big "thank You" to all of the staff at the THE WORLD HOTEL for making our trip to Vietnam so enjoyable. Jeffrey and Susan from San Francisco, USA.

Had a very good stay. Cheap room, cleaned every day with clean towels. Basic free breakfast included, nice location in Old Quarter. Very friendly staff, tho I think the day time female staff is a bit more friendly and service minded then the evening male staff. Stil not bad tho. Booked a tour to Halong Bay, not to cheap but very nice and excellent boat. They did overcharge my train ticket to Hue a bit, but on the other hand let me use a double room for free after my Halong trip. Excellent stay.

This is by far the worst hostel we have ever stayed in!! Room 101 was damp, including our suitcases after 5 minutes. Mould was all over the walls. There was no phone, desk, wardrobe, hot shower, the TV plug had been ripped off and the bathroom wall was unfinished. We moved room which wasn't much better. When we returned from a Halong Bay cruise with another company (already paid to return) the owner was asleep in room 101, came out and handed us the key for us to go back in there!! TERRIBLE!!

his hotel is very conveniently located at the old quarter, which is within walking distance from key attractions, including the hoan kiem lake and ho chi minh mausoleum. the staff took special note of our special requests, arranging a quiet room on a high floor with a large bed. we were expecting a lousy room, given that it was discounted, but were pleasantly surprised when we had our room which was quite comfortable for that price. breakfast was included. the breakfast in the first morning was

The manager, , is a very friendly and helpful guy who is able to set you up with tours and travel arrangements. The rooms are huge with hot water all day. A good little breakfast and the free tea and coffee all day is a nice touch. The hotel is located close to the day & night markets in the old town with great street life right at your door, not to mention a bowl of pho across the street for $0.50CDN! I would stay there again.

This is a very cheap hostel, so don´t expect anything other than just a cheap hostel if you stay here. The staff is really helpfull and they are doing their best, but the rooms are in a need of renovation (and to be propper cleaned!).

The staff here are very friendly and helpful. We were able to check in at 5.30am after arriving by sleeper bus. They booked us a 2 day tour to halong bay which we felt was very good value for money and we had the best time that we had had since being in Vietnam and probably since we started travelling 7 weeks ago! Free breakfast and free drinks all day was great and I would stay here again.

Our room was very damp and very dirty when we would get in to bed the sheets and blanket were damp and our towels would never dry. Also staff and friends would stay up all night smoking and drinking in the foyer which would send smoke up through all the rooms. Also the tour we booked with them was way over priced other people on our tour were charged USD$9 less than us On the plus side breakfast was great and it was good to have free Tea and coffee whenever we wanted.
