The hostel was reasonably comfortable and in a good location on Inishmore. The rooms and bathroom were clean and we were very grateful of the tea/coffee and toast provided in the morning. However, we were a little surprised that none of the rooms had locks and that the owner (not the guests) was smoking inside the hostel laundry room when we arrived.

The Artists Hostel Lodge is a great place to stay. Very homely and friendly in a wonderful peaceful location. The owner Marion makes her guests feel very welcome and the atmosphere is relaxed. I will definitely stay here again and also recommend it to any one visiting Inish Mor.

10-15 min walk from the boat, close to lots of pubs and horse-riding. Small dorms were excellent, good heating, lovely cosy feel and nice hosts. Would look even better in the sun though!

I liked this hostel very much, becouse of the friendly manager. And Inis mor island is a very good place to visit.
I enjoyed my stay in the Artist Hostel.

The directions to the hostel could've been better - it was a bit hard to find.
The place was excellent value for money.

This is the perfect hostel to stay at on the Aran Islands. It's very small and that makes it special. From the garden you have a nice view of the sea and there are tables and chaires outside as well. It's right, there are no lockers at the doors but you definitely don't need any! Nice lounge as well and breakfast is also included! It was fab!!!!!
