About Arts Factory Lodge
The Arts Factory Lodge, a short 5 minute walk from Byron Bay's main beach and township, is an enchanted 5 acre subtropical haven. Originally an old piggery and the birthplace of 'fame' and 'spirit' of Byron, in the early 70s, many local and international artists, hippies and alternative lifestylers turned it into a creative 'Arts Factory'.
The Arts Factory is a comfortable, friendly retreat offering groovy accommodation. Rooms range from standard six person shared dorms with views of the pool and courtyard to a funky Teepee with a pot bellied fireplace or the Nunnery, a girl’s only, self contained cottage, surrounded by lush gardens.
Just as the dormitories and shared accommodation vary in style, so too do our doubles and twins. They range from Island Bungalows or Gunyas, which are funky 5 Star Tents/Canvas cabins set on their own Island, to the Cubes, which are indoor rooms with funky Mambo Art, a fridge and recycled wooden beds to the Loveshack, a double room with its own bathroom facilities.
Right across the carpark we have the Buddha Bar and Restaurant and Byron Lounge Cinema with specials for all our guests. See you soon!!
