worst hostel i have ever stayed in. booked a twin room, got an apt, didnt mind that. what did bother me was the fact that the matress was ripped and full of pubic hair and to top off the whole experience the bedside locker was loaded with used condoms, complete joke. could keep going all night but dont have enough time left on the computer....disgraceful Read Owner Comments

The hostel is located in a central position in Pest and we walked everywhere easily. The owner is a very friendly guy and gave us plenty of information on what to do in Budapest. What we got for the price has not been equalled in the rest of our trip through Europe. I would recommend this hostel to anyone who can not afford 4 star hotel, but still expects good quality.

This hostel is such a gem, it has so much character, really colourful&after a few days felt just like home!the bohemian atmospshere was great&everyone we met there was really friendly.definitely been the best hostel of the trip so far.Staff presence is perfectly minimal-if you want to have a great time in Budapest in a very chilled out, bohemian hostel w/an excellent atmosphere&people who are up for a good time, stay here!

We were 4 persons and we got a whole apartment for us self! So we didn't stay at the hostel but the apartment were great and it seemed nice when where at hostel for checking in. Nice staff that we felt a little bit sorry for, because of the guest before us had broken a window and crashed a bed in the apartment causing a lot of trouble.

Great location; can walk to many popular sites. The guy the runs the place is incredibly helpfull and can advise you on restaurants, site seeing, bars, etc. Small kitchen is also available and there is free internet. I

Had a great time at Downtown Hostel - a cool, relaxed base for exploring the city. Really helpful staff, free coffee, lots of bars nearby!
