I have stayed many hostels in India, but I found that the Explorers Nest is the best. I felt just like being at home and I wish I could have stayed more days:)

Arvind & Shoma, the owners who run Explorers nest are excellent hosts, very hospitable. The place is located in the centre of Jaipur, close to all ameneties. Its a home away from home !

Arvind and Shoma have made this place one of the best to stay in Jaipur. We checked out many, but this was a nice homely feel, close to everything and perfect to relax in after a day out chatting about everything and anything. While travelling around India, this is a great place to take a break from everything, stay a few days and relax.

This was the nicest hostel I have ever stayed at, in a couple years it will be in every guide book that exists. I would recommend it to anyone, it's a nice change away from the typical hostels and hotels you find everywhere. To experience a different and nicer side of Jaipur, choose the Explorer's Nest!   Read Owner Comments

Arvind and Shoma's guesthouse has been open for about four months (January 2008). They have worked hard to create a very nice place away from the tourist hordes. My room was especially nice as it was quite sunny in the mornings, so much so that I didn't know when the electricity was out. There were outages daily, on both a scheduled and unscheduled basis. My arrival was a comedy of errors that ended up costing me dearly as I was exhausted from the effort to find them and ended up spending the first night in a nearby hotel. Neither my taxi driver nor any of the several people I asked were able to direct me to their place. My efforts to contact them by mobile phone were also frustrated by several factors. Once found it was fairly easy to find again. On the day that I left another woman arrived from the airport without any difficulty at all. I have suggested to the Grover's that it would be helpful to proactively provide information to their guests (such as how to operate the TV, when the electricity will be out [if they know], what to do in case of an emergency). They have a lovely roof top terrace that would be even more lovely if they kept a few molded plastic chairs there rather than relying on the house boy to bring up dining room chairs. I wholeheartedly recommend The Explorer's Nest to Jaipur visitors.   Read Owner Comments
