for a youth , globetrotters had an excellent setup. we loved our time very, its way out of the city, but thats the charm. you really see a side of edinburgh and a day bus travel pass cost 2.5 pounds, and the bus stoop is across the road. i highly recommend globetrotters.

the beamer was broken. breakfast was too little. tables in the dining room were always sticky. no table and no chairs in the bedrooms. No plugs in the bedrooms for charging photo batteries etc.

The hostel is away from the city, but the breath taking view just makes it all worthwhile. The shuttle that operates every hour is cheap and very convenient. The rooms were very nice and clean. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is really nice. They have a nice lounge in the hostel which is also like a game room. All the facilities provided by them are very good. I loved it and would recommend it to my friends when they visit Edinburgh.

All hostels could learn from the way the Globetrotter hostels are run. While the facilities are dorm-like and somewhat spartan, the hostel is excellent overall. They have a wide variety of amenities, including a shuttle service, a store with reasonably priced supplies, a tasty free breakfast, excellent security, and a great entertainment selection. This was one of the best hostels I have ever experienced!

immaculately clean hostel. it\'s only downside is it\'s distance from town...but as advertised it\'s far. it\'s close enough to take a shuttle or catch public transit during the daytime...but if you\'re hitting up some bars or clubs and planning for a real night out...your only way home is with a cab. nice kitchen, responsive management (i was overcharged ,but it was rectified asap via email.) nice beachfront!

Just stayed in the hostel and it is a really recommendable place for those who do not mind to take the bus from the city centre. It is close to the beach and offers great views. The staff is friendly and helpful. It also provides all facilities you could think of. I would always stay there again!!

i would be more happy with this hostel if the bed i was assigned was not wet with pee, otherwise this hostel has excellent facilities.Perhaps more money needs to be invested in cleaning the rooms.   Read Owner Comments

far out of town, but there is a bus across the street that runs a couple times an hour and the hostel also runs a shuttle once an hour.
