we stayed at the location on the danube--one of three options the hostel offers. the other two are delhi and calcutta; the danube location is valhalla or the elysian fields. amazing value for money, if you can get it. there are only three apartments at the prime spot, but if needs be you should move heaven and earth to get one of them. many thanks to gavor at hostel one and to klara and bivor at hostel two. david and julia

It is the worst hostel I've ever seen in my life! Instead of 3-bed room we got a quite big apt with 3 rooms with lots of beds in each of them. Our 3-bed room simply doesn't exist as well as the private bathroom

The hostel is very nice - small, but good for the money and with everything you will need. It was quite poorly organised however, as it seemed to be run by only one man. Because he was not there when we arrived, no-one let us into the building and we were left for around 40 minutes wondering if we had been ripped off (this may have been our fault as we arrived early). Overall, this hostel is fine - just don't panic if it seems a little ad hoc at first!

it s a nice hotel and near from all the monuments and in the city center. But their is no room when you could stay and speak with the others persons, or watch tv and i dont know why but we have to stop internet at 11.00 pm strange!

The hostel was really great. It was clean, the staff was very nice and helpful, it was in a fantastic location. I really enjoyed the hostel. It was one of the best I have been in. I would gladly reccommend it to everyone going to Budapest!!!

Problems with the boss and the payments, because it wanted to receive money the rooms to people who did not come, rooms in common spaces (together to the Internet computer and sleeping in the same room with the watchman) and rooms without heating....a bad general impression   Read Owner Comments

We were supposed to be in the museum guest house but because of a heating failure we got moved to the museum guest house 2. I enjoyed this hostel. It had a good bit of quirkyness about it and the staff were very helpful about giving us clubs and pubs to visit. A few people from our group had to pull out and they were understanding about it so we didn't haven't to pay for the people who weren't there. The only negative thing that could be picked up on was the dodgy showers. Overall i'd say its a pretty good place to stay.
