Fantastic hostel - great start to my trip in NZ. Welcoming staff, great kitchens, very clean and super comfy beds! Location is good as it encouraged me to walk to town every day as other reveiwers say 15 mins max is not really a problem.Fantastic hostel - great start to my trip in NZ. Nice place close to local shops for all your needs. Really comfortable beds. Would have been great if the person next door had some respect for others and kept the noise down at night! The hostel suggests people don't wear ther shoes inside. As a result when we were there we found we could not use the TV room, lounge with the awful smell of feet /socks coming from the room. Our double room with ensuite was excellent - clean and comfortable. Fresh bread and kitchen facilities were great too. Location was fine as we didn't mind the 15 minute walk and the local take-away was very cheap.
