I really like the hostel, the facilites are nice and clean and the staff is very helpful. I liked that it has a wonderful view over the city, and common space is really big and comfortable. Altough it is located little far from city center, it is OK to arrive by metro, and I think u need 10 minutes travel to arrive to city center. The area is well served also by buses, and it has markets, cafes and other shops not expensive. I would definitely stay here again.

Wifi: good, Showers: good, Beds: comfortable, Staff: really nice, Kitchen: small but usable. Overall I thought it was a good place, but it's about a 20-30 minute metro ride to the city center, not bad for the price. It's not really a hostel though, it's an apartment on the 5th floor that they put bunk beds in, but it's a cool atmosphere. They have a really sweet dog named Zoro who doesn't bark or anything. I'd highly recommend staying here if you don't mind commuting to the center.

Very good hostel! The staff is awesome, they help you with everything, where to go, how to get there or even cooking food hehe. Really good hostel, maybe a bit off but with metro it was like 15 minutes. Matteo's a funny guy haha =)

This place was great! The staff were very friendly and helpful. Their English isn't the best, but they try their hardest to help. They clean the rooms everyday and I didn't feel unsafe at all. The on,y thing is it is a little out of the way, but is within walking distance of the metro, so isn't too complicated.

It was great! Very home-like. It's basically just an apartment-turned-hostel and it's very comfortable. The owners are really wonderful, lovely people.

Let me just first say this "hostel" is awesome. Okay so it's not REALLY a hostel, its two dude's apartment and they turned two spare bedrooms into two hostel rooms. They have a kitchen, regular bathroom, tv, etc. Same as you'd have in an apartment. It's really chill and in a fantastic location. It's in a suburb so you experience the REAL Rome not touristy one. The owner really helps you out the first 5 mins you are there gives you EVERYTHING you need to get around rome and where to go. Fantastic

Really nice hostel, easy to get to by metro, however the instructions on how to get to the hostel were not too clear. The people living there were really friendly! We didn't spend a lot of time at the hostel but we would have been more than welcome to cook dinner and spend time with them there. Also, the best part is that there is a dog!!!!!!

The hostel is a few metro stations away from the vatican city and is reasonably accessible by metro/ bus. The staff are kind to introduce tourist attractions although they don't speak good english. The rooms are clean. They keep a big dog (quite vicious looking to me). Although he is gentle, there was one time he just crashed into my room (door-closed) and it was quite a scary experience for me. They could have cautioned people by saying it on the description that they keep a dog.

Thousand Sunny was a great place to spend three nights in Rome! The staff was incredibly warm and welcoming, and the dog, Zoro, was friendly and fun to play with. It was very homey - we even played Monopoly together one night! If you're looking for an extremely clean hostel with a family-like atmosphere, this is the place. Kind of hard to find - the gate isn't bright yellow, as we were expecting. Directions from the metro should be revised and improved.

the hostel is a far from the city centre but there is metro station next to the hostel, so the location is not a big problem. the staff is very nice but they dont talk a good english. the rooms are clean and secure. the wifi works very well inside the rooms. they only accept payment in cash. the kitchen is good to make meals.

one of the best hostels I have ever stayed. It is more like shared housea. Everything is very cosy, staff is more than friendly two guys and dog Zorro, like him very much. They will shaw and describe all places, prices and so on. Everything is clean, kitchen and bathroom perfect /I was in the room with private bathroom/. Tea, coffee, whenever you want, laundry for free. from the metro 7 min, right than up tho hill. You can get everywhere via train, 2 tick. per day.worth it. Enjoy!:)

felt more like a share-house (seems like a flat rented/bought in an apartment building) than an actual hostel, but the staff was super chill and nice people. Their English isn't very good, but they made a great effort to help with anything. The location is pretty far from the action, but the price is more affordable and away from touristy places to eat.

The place was clean and tidy. The staff were friendly but yet unable to speak English and therefore we couldn't communicate so well. The dog was cute and tame but somehow disturbing while you're having meals as it would approach you.

Thousand Sunny takes the best elements of a youth hostel and a share house, and combines them in a cosy top-floor apartment in the suburbs of Rome. Maurizio, Marina and Matteo (and hound Zorro) live there with you but are more like friends than staff. If you like smaller hostels where you will definitely meet friends, you will enjoy it. As soon as I arrived I immediately felt at home!
