What make this hostel great are the value and the staff. One of the best prices you'll find in Rome, very casual atmosphere, and likely the friendliest group of people in charge. The location isn't the center of everything, but the metro station is a five minute walk and there are plenty of grocery stores in the neighborhood. The facilities were a bit underwhelming - only one bathroom and a small kitchen, but in three days there wasn't a problem. I would definitely stay here again.

A little off city center but a nice place to go, owner don't really speak English but really funny to hear him try to explain you direction, small hostel so more family atmosphere, value for the money is excellent, i will return there

Location is a bit out of the way and directions are a bit hard to follow the first time you arrive although the location is well served by metro and buses from the city center stop directly outside. Staff are friendly and helpful although none of them speak much English, a real problem when English is the language of international hosteling. They have a washing machine but no drier, make sure you have time for things to dry (costs 2€). Price is good when you compare it to other places in Rome.

A very nice place! The staff are extremely friendly, room is comfortable, shower is good. You can do laundry (washer only) for 2 euro, i believe. Lock and small locker is provided for valuables. Full kitchen. A very good deal for the money spent.

It is an apartment with a couple of rooms on 5th floor. It has a big living room with kitchen, so you can cook and chat with other visitors, which makes it very fun. The owners and staff are lovely people, we even went out to drink one night. Location is quite good, metro station is 10mins walking distance. Even in the late night, you can buy food/drinks from nearby minimarkets, (which is hard to come by in italy) The only thing bad about it is that its quite cold in the night.

The hostel's location was a bit tricky to find at first, but other than that everything else was perfect! There are only ten beds at this place so the atmosphere is pretty different from other hostels. It's more like being at home. You would definitely become good friends with the other guests there.

The staff members are absolutely amazing! They made traveling solo worthwhile! I made so many new friends and got to see Rome in an efficient way with their guidance! The fact that you can cook in the kitchen cuts down on cost but they also have a wonderful service where their chef makes you a real italian dinner! Definitely worth EVERY penny!

Located just across numerous bus stops (including night buses) and a metro station. Apartment totally new, super clean and secure. Staff super available, friendly and helpful. And that's an understatement! It is very rare to find a good plan to Rome: I absolutely recommend this one, which is my pied-à-terre for all my future trips in Rome. A big thank you for everything. See you soon. Je recommande absolument/Consiglio assolutamente/أوصى تماما/Mi absolute rekomendas/Ich wärmstens empfehle !

Actually the hostel is right there but we just don't know first how to enter the building. However, the hosts are really hospitable and the room is comfortable. You can also eat in the hall and chat with other tourists! It's worth to be strongly recommended!

As soon as I arrived, I was asked if I was afraid about dog, I love dogs and there was a very nice dog at the hostel but I do think they should state that in the description to warn people before they either arrive or book.

Mateo was very funny, hostel was clean and cozy not so bad but the location is quite far from city center so u have to use at lear 3 euros for transprtation everyday for roundtrip to the center and even metro station is not so close neither. except for that. it was okay and felt very comfort.

I loved my stay. it's a guest house. The staff is just very friendly, nice and helpful. They cannot speak english, but if you use french, english, spanish with them, you can communicate. :) Besides, there is a kitchen, so you can cook (very good to save money), and they can cook for you reel italian pasta for a descent price. It's very clean. The metro stop is 3 minutes walk from the guest house. I'm coming back in the summer :)

the hostel was nice, but it's not at all in the center, and on the final stop of the metro line. experience was quite ok, but I strongly would not recomend this hostel for couples, rather single backpackers or group of friends.

an average hostel in general. The staff there is nice even though he doesn't speak good English, pretty long walk from the subway station. There was once I had to take a shower without hot water in such cold winter.

I had a great stay here. It's a small and cozy hostel that feels more like you're just hanging out in someone's apartment which are the kind of places I love. The staff are.. staff? they are your friends too. It might be far from the city center but you're going to have to use public transportation anyway but the metro is close and in Rome it's not a big deal. When I return to Rome it will be a pleasure to stay at Thousand Sunny again!
