This hostel is actually far better than we thought it would be! It's location is ideal, on the same street as many many market stalls, all of which were very good, however I would recommend getting public transport to the hostel, taxi driver didn't know where to go and took us 3 hours to get there and then 30mins to return to station. Overall a very well priced hostel and would definitely recommend it for anyone!

Rooms were nice enough and you are basically in a main street when you step out the front door, although the hostel itself is quiet. Only place we were in in China with decent wi-fi too. No complaints about this hostel, glad we stayed there. Comfy beds.

You get what you pay for. The bathrooms weren't the cleanest or best facilities ever, and not being able to flush the toilet paper was a little bit weird, but everything worked fine and having air conditioning and wi-fi in the dorm room was a big plus.

Ok hostel, good location but not so safe. It was easy to get in and out, the staff had no idea who lived there and not... There was only one bathroom and shower in a dorm for 10 people. but it was value for your money. The hostel is located in a good place. Near to subway, forbidden city, shopping and other hostels. The staff was not so polite and service minded... but otherwise, if you are a backpacker and need a cheap place to stay and you don´t spend any time in the dorm its OK.

Good place to meet people when you travel alone!

What really makes this place is its location. It's a short walk from both Tiananmen and Qianmen subway line 2, which can then be taken to any other points of interest around the city. There are tours available through the hostel for a reasonable price. I took the tour to the Jinshanling section of the Great Wall, where we were left pretty much to do as we pleased after our arrival at the wall. I highly recommend this because it's a much less crowded section, though steeper to climb.

Great location right near the Tiananmen Square, helpful staff, clean and great value for money! Definitely would recommend. They help you out with tips on how to get around the city and what to see. They even provided me a map!

had so much fun. Great ppl, great great wall, great location, everything was great!

Staff was very friendly and helpful. I arrived early in the morning before the check-in time and I was given a bed straight after I had got there - which does not happen in every hostel. Also, it seems that the hostel offers good trip to the Great Wall or other places.

perfect location, social atmosphere, no kitchen though, good size locker, helpful staff

Bathroom was more a mushroom farm then a bathroom, bed was hard, dirty and smelly, the box to lock my stuff was big but anything else than safe. Quite far from the sightseeing places. Plastic flowers, strange people who just came into my room and check if any boxes weren't locked, it's nice for young backpackers who like to stay cheap and downtown but for me it wasn't nice.

Please, do not include menus in rooms listing meals that you do not serve. Because my mother and son had told me the previous night what they wanted the next morning, I waited two hours for the staff (one asleep on the couch in the front room) to be present at the front desk so that I could order breakfast-only to be told that breakfast is available only in the summer. The electrical outlets in our room ceased working, so we could not heat water for coffee or tea we brought. Very frustrating.
