High additional cost for extras such as breakfast, 6 euros compared to the usual 3. Quite a boring atmosphere, not much of a party vibe, which is what you would want from Berlin. Lots of restrictions and rules such as kitchen shuts at 10, which makes things difficult if you want to party. More appropriate for people who want an early. Needs air conditioning in the rooms!!!! However overall bearable and fairly good location and value for money.

This hostel had REALLY comfortable beds! The building was also very cool. I would definitely stay here again.

If you're looking for a cheap place to stay that's close to sights then stay, however there are no locks in the showers, barely any lights throughout hallways, and a silence rule from 10pm onwards. If you're looking for a school camp style accommodation then book away!

Nothing to complain about, super safe, 15 mins bus ride to the center of Kreuzberg. 20 mins walking to Potzdamer Platz. 5 mins to U-Bahn and supermarket. Super clean, big rooms, big hall were a lot of people can hang around. I will without a doubt stay there next time i'm in Berlin. Book without hesitation!

In a really nice neighbourhood, the rooms were clean (if a little cramped), and the facilities were nice. As an adult solo traveller though, this is not the place to meet people. There were a lot of school groups and the atmosphere in the common area was lacking. That said, I can imagine it would be great in a group.

We had a private room which was spacious and clean. Comfortable bed for two of us. The kitchen was also very big and clean but it's hours were between 7am-10pm I think, which wasn't very convenient when you wanted food later at night or when we had to leave by 6am. The staff were very helpful and friendly. There were a few school groups there and they were quite loud, running up and down the hallways being kids. Otherwise, the experience was good. Central location.

Good location, an easy walk to the Brandenburger Tor, Checkpoint Charlie, the Topography of Terrors but also close to a S bahn that can take you nearly anywhere. Safe location. Friendly staff. A nice open area to hang out and meet other travelers.

Hostel was in a very good location right next to a train station. Staff were nice but didn't really offer any information. Facilities were good. The 6 bedroom dorm was spacious although the shared bathroom was a bit of a walk away (bathroom was clean). The hostel is massive and it was a little difficult at first to find the kitchen. Maybe it is just this time of year, but there were also a huge amount of school groups that were coming through which made the common area difficult to hang out in.

Front desk staff varied in effectiveness but were universally friendly. Overall a good experience

Very clean, my single room with shared bath included a sink in the room. This was my second stay and I was overall very satisfied. One major drawback for summer months: many of the rooms face a courtyard where the sound is greatly amplified and windows are open--no AC. Many young school groups and the children shouted from window to window almost every night until well after 1 am. No adults or staff intervened---I tried unsuccessfully several times. Don't expect to sleep--even in a private room!

It would've been nice not to have to have paid for washing and drying clothes but otherwise it's a fantastic hostel. Would definitely stay again!

Everything was fine and clean except for the kitchen where you could find ants everywhere. Nice big lobby to hang out in and lockers for your luggage

The room was great, especially for the price! Plenty of space, big windows, clean, etc. - easily worth the extra money for a private. The building itself is large, open, and quite beautiful and interesting. Location is mediocre however, as it's a 10-15 minute walk to the nearest sights or metro station. The two staff members I encountered were a little frosty, but helpful.

I especially did not like one guy in the reception. When we were about to ask a question, he told me us to wait like commanding and next time when we arrived he pretended he did not see us and kept on talking on the phone. 2,5 for linens, it's a ripoff.

really best suited to groups of kids. Some of staff were somewhat condescending as in treating you like a child...'please you must only smoke after 10pm in the smoking room' this occurred after 1am and I AM ON MY OWN. The next night I saw this guy smoking with another staffer outside. My room also had a rather unpleasant odour which might have been the drains or previous occupants. I would not recommend this place

This hostel is in a beautiful old building next to Anhalter Bahnhof. It's within walking distance of the Brandenburg Tor and Kreuzberg, but there is nothing that interesting in the immediate area. It is fairly large and has an institutional atmosphere, which is exacerbated by the hostel being almost exclusively occupied by multiple large groups of 12 to 16 year-old students. You've been warned.

We CAN thoroughly recommend this hostel.
