Great room, great size. There were only 5 of us but for some reason we got an eight bed dorm. However, I had paid a deposit to the hostel a few weeks previously - and they did not seem to understand this when I tried to explain it to them. Eventually, I gave up trying and split the cost with the people with which I was travelling. Overall, brilliant place to stay if you are lucky enough to get a huge, sound-proofed room like we did. Beds comfy; rooms clean; two bathrooms. Can't complain.

Fantastic hostel, one of my very favourites! Very clean, lots and lots of space - with a big common room and large bedrooms. Plenty of bathrooms and showers everywhere so never a problem. Wonderful, friendly staff. A wonderful stay

The location and the staff are very good. However, there is no bathroom in the rooms, one is shared with the floor. The bathrooms were always dirty and full of people. Once I found a plate of pasta in the bathroom. I threw it away and it was still in the trash smelling horribly the next morning. I would definitely look for another option of accommodation when I return to Berlin, which I'd really like since the city is fantastic.

Nice and friendly hostel. A bit big with 320 beds, but their common area where they serve a nice breakfast is still very cozy. Would definitely stay there again.

I wasnt impressed with this place. They nickle and dime you for everything. We wanted a private room for Christmas and they charged us EVERY time for sheets..15 Euro total, even though we were moving to a more expensive room!! I could have bought my own! They also didnt do anything for Christmas which was a bummer. The kitchen is crap and is not well stocked. They have like 2 pans and the rest are big enough to feed a family of 20. Internet was also expensive. It was pretty far from anything too

A great place to stay, breakfast is at 5€ more. There is a large common place when you can drink what ever you want with other guests.

Excellent service from the staff. Nice, clean place in a historical building. Good location. Slightly cold to sleep in the top floor at least, I stayed there in November.

The hostel close to S-bahn and U-bahn stations, and not far from the city centre. Average room and shower, in term of both size and quailty, but a big lobby with computers, a football table and pool tables. Wi-fi is only available in the lobby.

The staff work there doesn't seem to care about anything with exception of one who is lean and wear glasses with a nice smie. The mens' showers and restrooms seem celan because they are far away from the rooms, so no one really use them. The lobby is so dark you can't see anything. The hostel hosts teenager and it get very noisy and crazy. Don't try to was your cloth there, because they make it hell of difficult for many fellow-travelers including me. I checked out this place 7:00 am.

The hostel was a nice surprise. The location is alright and you can rent bikes so it is easy to get around the city. The staff was a little bit arrogant to my opinion. call me a nagg, but I like it when I'm helped with a smile, a thank you and a please. The hostel was clean and the beds were comfortable.

The entrance corridor to the hostel passes what seems to be a church. It is enchanting. The main hall is also a Mecca of interaction with other travelers.

Not all the bedrooms had lockers, as it says on the website. I stayed in a single room and there wasn't any. The fact that there is no internet in the rooms is also a pain, because you have to go to the main hall where there is always loud music and bad light. Breakfast is just average - and quite expensive for what it offers: bread, yogurt, omelete and a few cereals. The place is indeed too big and it's seems almost impossible to meet anyone in that place. The staff was quite helpful though.
