A great place to stay. In a city with loads of character, a stay in Threehouse just adds to the experience!!!

One of the best hostels ever, staff is very friendly and helpfull. Bindi who is the manager is a lonely personality and makes sure you have the best time ever. We definitely recommend it to other people. Clean, cheap, friendly, feels like home. Good kitchen, toilet, showers and relaxroom, rooms very ok. We loved it!

The walls are quite thin, so it's a bit noisy. The rooftop terrace is really nice and the staff is friendly and helpful.

The moment we left Threehouse, we began missing it. My girlfriend and I spent our last night in Kuching up in one of the National Parks, and throughout the night we were just Threehouse-sick. Bindi and gang were excellent hosts, making us feel most welcomed the second we came through the door. Facilities were great and all that you could wish for (laundry is a big hooray. Kuching's wonderful nature tends to get you a little dirty). Locations great with good food around. Will be back soon.

This is the best hostel I have been staying so far. Bindi is such a nice person and can give you a lot of stories about culture and lifestyle of the locals in borneo. Ricky is a funny staff member and keeps the facilities nice and clean, also he can tell you about life in Iban villages and their integration into modern malaysia. Bindi celebrated her birthday together with the guests and her family, and the atmosphere was so great we did not want to leave in the end...

Great place to stay - owner Bindi and helper Rickie are fantastic. Rooms and bathrooms are very clean, breakfast is standard but good, and the hostel has a nice TV/lounge area with plenty of DVDs. Also offers a lot of tour information. Hostel is very well located in Chinatown and near the waterfornt. I would gladly stay here again.

Thoughtful and kind staff, perfect location, and one of the cleanest hostels I've stayed in. My only wish is that there were reading lamps in the dorm room since the one overhead light is a little dim.

Really pretty hostel. The rooms were nice. The "free breakfast" was just bread, crappy coffee, and jam. The location was decent. The staff was helpful, but often not at the desk/easy to find. And a lot of the time we had questions, the staff person seemed eager to be done with it and go take a nap. The bathrooms weren't bad, but the toilets are a little tricky to flush. Also, fellow backpackers were up past midnight making tons of noise cooking, so I think there should be a time limit on that...

Hi, thank you for the kind words. But maybe it would have suited you better to stay at a hotel? The coffee we serve here is the one that is consumed by the people in Borneo, importing coffee is not an option for us unless we would increase our prices. If it doesn't suit you, you can always go to the starbucks 2 minutes from our building if you prefer it the american way. To the staff, we are 2 people in total doing everything here (owner and staff) , and we are here for our guests 24hours a day. we can not sit at the counter at all time (whereof we are using a security key-card system for our front) since we also need to clean the rooms and facilities for our guests comfort. We take bookings and do work from our office which is in a private room. But we are always in the building. This is also something we mention to our guests that we are always around but it can happen that we are making a room or similar whereof you mights not have seen us, but just wait for a while and we will pop-up in a bit! :)

Threehouse is such a wonderful place to stay. The location is great, the hostel is clean, the vibe is relaxing, and Bindi and Ricky are SO nice and helpful. I loved staying here so much I came back asap! The only negative thing is that there is a karaoke bar nearby that tends to be pretty loud some nights, but they don't go too late, so it's not really that bad. That being said, it tends to be very quiet! If you go to Kuching, absolutely check this place out. You'll want to go back!
