The outdoor karaoke downtsatirs goes on all night (9pm to 6am), and the loud singing reaches all the way to the top floor so there's no escape. I was not able to sleep. Also, the karaoke was crowded with people who was not living at the hostel. Most of the fellow hostel tenants were trapped in their own rooms as opposed to chilling out at the common areas, which were occupied by local teens who came with their own groups. The renovations were definitely nice, but it's still not worth it
Not easy at all to find this hostel. The staff was not friendly at all, really rude. Their business card is to be remade in thai for taxis !!! It's very badly soundproofed, the second night the music was way until 2am ... Do not take sleeper, the beds are really not practical. No windows in the dorms, no ventilation, the smell in the room (4) was awful. Nothing to hang your clothes in the shower ! Namely the hotel is located in the gay neighborhood.

Good location, very near to Silom Japanese Street. A little bit hard to find at the first time as the direction which provided by hostel is so complicated. Facilities and environment is awesome, comparing with other hostels in town. Free towel, free wifi, DVD room, bar. The only disadvantage is sound insulation, too loud till the midnight.
Great stay. Staff doesn't speak much English. Other than that, would stay again.
The bed was super comfortable and the sheets were really fluffy..SO FLUFFY; something you wouldn't by get out of a regular hostel. The staff were helpful, friendly, and cool. Overall, great place with a post-apocalyptic design
The thrive is a modern hostel, all in shades of grey and black with unpainted walls and exposed beams. The dorms are small, but with comfy beds and good aircon. Frosted glass partitions for toilets/showers is not for me! Not very social, with only TV room and downstairs bar (usually empty) for meeting people.
The Thrive is an excellent hostel and we are already planning to return. It has a great location, walking distance to the BTS, Night Market, many attractions and great dining nearby. The staff Is very helpful, there is a service area that sells beverages and snacks, and the air conditioned communal rooms are awesome! Also, they are very accommodating in allowing baggage to be left in a secured area between stays. I have and will continue to recommend the Thrive to travelers.
The Thrive's architecture gives it a very cool and modern look. It has good installations, a nice bar outside, and comfortable beds. The staff is ok, but they wont go out of their way to make you feel comfortable or very welcomed (a bit too laid back and more worried about listening to music or chatting). The major drawback, is that this hostal faces a very busy road and overhead highway, therefore, the noise is HIGH!!! (make sure you bring earplugs if you're planning on staying here).
I love the concept. I like staying here. The staff were so nice. the room is clean and nice. location is good, near Silom area and the nigthlife, but no in the middle of it. But the shared bathroom lock is kinda broken, please fix it. Direction is near to MRT Sam Yan than from MRT Silom / BTS Saladaeng. Overall, I love to stay at this hostel (actually I've already stayed again when I miss my flight)
Great design and location but staff needs to be sharper. 25mins to check in was a bit too long, their very basic English did not help either. Despite that it was still a pleasant stay.
