A really good hostel for meeting people. It's small and cosy, like staying in a big house. The staff were very friendly and helpful with things to see in Budapest and places to go out. I had such a great time at Thumbs Up - I wasnt sure how long I would stay initially and ended up staying 5 nights -but I would happily have stayed longer. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and if you're lucky they'll take you on a pub crawl. The one issue is queuing for the bathroom and more bathrooms are being added so there really is nothing I could fault about the place!I had such a great time at Thumbs Up - I wasnt sure how long I would stay initially and ended up staying 5 nights -but I would happily have stayed longer. Staff were very helpful in fact were giving personal walking paths based on peoples time and what they had already seen. Small quaint hostel with loads of character. Thumbs Up is exactly what a traveller on a budget needs in his/her staying in Budapest. Clean place with character, nice common room where it is pretty easy to socialize, and one of the most friendly and helpful staff i met in my 3-month trip through Europe.
The only bad thing was the weather... it sucked all days, but this is not hostel`s fault! I hope to come back to Budapest soon, in a better weather; if so, i will definitely stay at Thumbs Up hostel again.Thumbs Up is exactly what a traveller on a budget needs in his/her staying in Budapest. The Hostel was absolutely fantastic. Really clean. Had a huge TV with surround sound system. Also has free internet with 2 computers to use. Rooms were clean, and installed with night light for people to use when returning late at night. Really comfy couches as well, and a great unlimited breakfast.The Hostel was absolutely fantastic. Thumbs Up is really an amazing hostel!! Great location, excellent structure, clean, safe, and with everything you need! \"Nagyon kitűnő\"-Extremely fantastic- staff!!! I felt like being home!! :) And I had a really good time in Budapest too thanks to the advices and the suggestions of these great guys! ;) 10+!! Suggested to everyone!!!
