Excellent location, beautiful hotel and very friendly and helpful staff.

The hostel is clean and beautiful. The rooms have a lot of character and the whole place is very well designed. The location is right next to the market pagode and on the main street and they have pickup service from the train station both when you come and when you leave. The staff have poor english and couldn't help us in almost nothing. We booked soft sleeper train tickes from the hostel and afted they gave us the tickets they suddenlly wanted to change them to hard sleeper....

This is a fab hostel. We had a lovely double room, with comfy bed and great bathroom. They gave us lifts both to and from the train station for free. They booked train tickets for us to Xian - was a bit odd as assured us we would get tickets, but they wouldn't tell us which train we had tickets for until an hour or so before first option - gave us a photocopy/print out of tickets (had no problems with). On the whole the staff were great, v.friendly and couldnt do enough for us.

When we arrived they didn't consider the 10% paid in advance via hostelworld. We had to pay again. Rooms are nice and clean. The staff is very helpfull, bit grumpy. They have far too many staff and they are a bit pushy while you are sitting in the restaurant... They arrange our train tickets for our next stop. But they just got them an hour before of the departure, even though we insist in having them before. it was a photocopy with the date errased and writen over... Strange but had no problem
