Great selection of DVDs to watch. The cleanliness is walking the line between clean and dirty. The hostel is otherwise unremarkable, and is a decent place to stay.

This hostel is the worst I've stayed at in China. It's not clean and the staff are not friendly and don't speak English. The location is OK - close to the Tianjin eye and walkable distance to the Drum Tower, Ancient Culture Street and Food Street.

This hostel is fine and the only one currently available in Tianjin. The rooms are relatively clean, although the beds are very hard with thin mattresses, but clean linen is provided. Showers weren't great and the toilet didn't smell lovely either, but it was all functional and the price is great. The staff didn\'t speak much english but enough to get by. The hostel was also kind enough to organise a taxi for us at 5am in the morning and were up to allow us to check out.

Pretty plain no frills hostel. Good internet cafe nearby.

The bedding was clean and the room was ok so it was acceptable for one nights stay but the toilets smelt horrible and looked horrible both upstairs and downstairs. Showers weren't much better either, no proper locks on the shower/toilet doors. The place needs a good clean.

I have travelled exclusively as a Hostel World client for over ten years and think you should know that this hostel which was great last year was recently sold by Mr. Zhang to a person that has no idea of what a hostel means or the rules and regulations for maintaining their status as a listing on Hostelworlds network. she is renting the rooms to whomever wants to give her money and I found local Chinese with children, the night attendant wore his scivveys. You need to check this out.

A pretty reasonable place to stay for a night or two. Yes, ok, the guy on reception when we arrived didn't really speak any English - but that's not really a problem. We only stayed for one night and didn't see much of Tianjin - but I got the impression that the hostel doesn't have the best location - the only real complaint I have about this place.

it\'s a nice little place but as tianjin is only really an entry an exit point there\'s not a lot goin on here and when we stayed not many people around. the hostel does it\'s job thou of a cheap, clean place to stay, and the chinese food is good too

The location of this hostel was very obscure. When we got there we felt we were miles away from everything, certainly not the 'central location' it describes. The showers and the toilets didn't lock and were a bit grim. Not massively cheap either. Staff did help us flag down a taxi however, but no one spoke any English.
