Basic accomodations, but great for starting your hike to the Tiger leaping gorge early.

The hostel is very nice with a nice common area and many cats! Jane's sister was a great host, spoke a decent english and made delicious food. I would recommend the sweet and sour potatoes. The room is rustic but perfect for a night before the trek. It is clean. The bathroom had broken shower doors and the water from the shower would leak to the evacuation in the middle of the bathroom. Not too convenient but we then realised it was the same in MANY hostels in China . Highly recommended.

We stayed at this hostel before our hike across Tiger Leaping Gorge. The staff were a bit unfriendly, and the room was dingy. The shower was in a cubicle but leaked all over the floor, and there were hairs in the bed, presumably from the previous occupant. The hostel was near a quarry so the air was a bit dusty and large trucks were constantly driving up and down the road. Nicer hostels can be found an hours walk onwards along the trail from Qiaotou, which is also not a very nice place.

People who work there are very nice and helpful! Rooms do not have heating but thick blankets - it was enough for us. Cleanliness of bathroom is probably the only negative point of the location.
