Great stay at Jane's guesthouse, perfect location to start the trek of the Tiger Leaping Gorge. Nice clean room, very nice atmosphere, great staff, and such delicious food... definitely recommend it!

We have two single bed/mattress in our room, clean inside, bathroom also clean eventhough the construction not as good as in Usa, but still ok. You need to bring your own tissue, shampoo, soap for bathroom purpose, they provide towel but not hair dryer. The weather at surrounding area is warm, compared to Shangrila (they provide electric blanket). The location is inside the Leaping Gorge already, but when you go there , upper gorge you have to rent a car (small car) with driver .

Very nice hostel to spend the night after a long day of trekking. The Family that welcomes you is super nice, food is cheap and good and you can eat on their very nice terrace. They are well located if the next day you want to go to the middle gorge. Don't stop at Tina's which has no charm, keep walking 2 km or call the hostel, they will pick you up

No locks on the dorm room. Only one shower for all dorms guests. Only one toilet for all dorm guests. not enough sockets. Dorm has only one main light, no personal lamps. Beds were ok and clean. Food was good. Good starting point for the hike. Atmosphere was average though.

The hostel itself is pretty average in terms of facilities. Very little english is spoken which is not too useful for a place used as a starting point for a well known track. The guy managing the place was really friendly, but lack of english and hostel condition lowered the overall experience of the stay.

Jane wasn't around so it was difficult to get any kind of answers or tips for the gorge. Can't really knock 'em for that though. The food was pretty sub-par but the rooms were clean. It was rustic and well-managed. Don't expect anything more. They did, however, arrange for our bags to be transported to our guesthouse on the trail which was awesome.

An OKAY place to start the trek from. A little bit dull. But very friendly staff.....English not so good, but just enough to get by. Food was average as were the facilities. Bag storage was free!!

The hostel is quite old, the staff did not speak English. Exept the location and the vreakfast everything was below the expectation. I stayed during the complete trip in other hostels with the same price range and they performed significantly better. Negative highlight was that the cold water was completely brown with a lot of big particels inside.
