For sure the best hostel in Medellin! Clean, fun, great location (literally two blocks from parque lleras). Also they have a great bar and happy hour where it's super easy to meet other travelers and locals. Thanks again!! - jake

I stayed 2 nights. Location is really good but not the staff , they dont know if you ask something about their own city, didnt show me the hostel at the first day ...many things... I made the reservation based in the rates in this page but i think its overrated .Googd location and clean, thats it.

For a hostel rated by LP as having "the best 6-bed dorms in Medellin," I expected better. The pillows were totally flat, and the beds have a lousy design. The drawers for your stuff are attached to the bunk at the bottom, so that if you need to get your stuff out, you'll wake up the person sleeping on the bottom bunk. Also, I stayed for 3 days, and during that time the hot water wasn't working at all, and the staff didn't seem to be in a hurry to get it fixed. Tiger Paw definitely fell short.

The staff at Tiger Paw make it the best place to stay in all of Medellin. They are incredibly friendly and helpful at every turn of the way, particularly Alex and Louisa. It felt like more of a family than I business, which is very rare these days.

The hostel´s rule of being quiet after midnight is not followed by the hostel´s personnel, who play the music extremelly/unnecessarily loud.

This hostel was located in a great area of Medellin, just a block from Parque Lleres, which is where the best (and safest) of Medellin's nightlife is located. The hostel is also located near the metro, which is a great way to get around the city. The kitchen is in need of some attention--one unsharpened knife makes cooking a bit difficult, and there certainly isn't enough counter or storage space.

Part of the hostel common space is a restaurant by the day which makes it less secure. One of the staff forgot my booking for a trip which I paid for and completely ruined my day. The laundry service hang dry the cloths in the kitchen to and cook right under it so I had to take it to another laundry for cleaning. After a few days I had enough and I went to Casa Kiwi and everything was perfect. I've made friends here so I've come back to hang out with them but will not recommend staying here.

This was a good cheap place to stay in Medellin, if your not looking to spend the night at the hostel. The nightlife around this area(Zona Rosa) is amazing and there is plenty to do. If you are looking for a hostal to stay at and not go out, i recommend the Pit Stop, they have a bigger seprated bar, with a pool and volleyball court, for the price they are both great places to stay for a few days, any longer than a month at these places and you may find yourself getting a little bored.

We really liked the Tiger's Paw. It's still new and undergoing some construction but it had pretty much all the amenities that you would want in a hostel. Liked the local beer on tap and the location is great for restaurants and nightlife. My only beef is that the gated door is left open a lot of the time so anyone could wander in. Otherwise- loved.

Booked for five nights and ended up staying three weeks! The hostel is in a perfect location, right in the party zone. Literally right across the street from a club. The bunk beds are the best ever, SOLID. You could not tell if there was someone above you, they did not move. Huge lockers below it. Bar downstairs has really cheap drinks for pre gaming. The staff is also all beautiful girls who speak excellent English and are super friendly. Four free computers, internet was super fast.

Great location, I personally think that the happy hour is the best and I meet really cool people. That staff helped me a ton in finding great places to visit. The only place I'd recommend staying at in Medellin.

I have been traveling for over 4 months and the Tiger Paw was the first place I felt like I was at home. The staff is super friendly and the place is spotless. The maids made my bed everyday (which I happen to enjoy). They offer a traditional Colombian breakfast and lunch that is pretty cheap. The real value comes in during happy hour which is every night from 9-10pm for 2 for 1 drinks. 24 hour front desk. Location is perfect. I extended my stay a week I liked it so much. This was my first ever experience at a hostel, I've traveled to 22 countries and this is my first, because of this experience I will probably be looking at a hostel before a hotel. As a first timer at a hostel I really enjoyed it, I cannot compare other hostels but Tiger Paw was great. The owner was accessible, the staff was great, a lot to do in the area. The owner even set up a group outing to go paragliding, the places they recommended were exactly how they explained it.
