You have to worry when the staff make more noise then the guests. From turning the music up ridiculously loud really late to entertain themselves whilst board on the nightshift, to crazy loud conversations right outside our door at 7am. The staff really need some training. My bed was really uncomfortable. I would not recommend this hostel and would never stay again.

Very well located and clean hostel. However, staff is not very helfpul as touristic stuff advisors. Ping pong games should not be allowed at certain hours... hearing that thing bouncing at 6am ain't fun at all!!! Avoid first floor rooms if you want to skip that...

Great place.....Most comfy beds I've ever had in a hostel.Location is perfect, close to tons of restaurants and good bars/clubs. As well as they have the best happy hour of any hostel in Medellin. Stayed in 4 different hostels over a month in Medellin and this was the best. The entire staff is awesome...One of the bartenders Juliana may be the sweetest bartender in the freakin world. Also the lunch they have there is really good and it's cheap! (amazing cure for a hangover)

It was OK, clean, great location... but the staff was really blank... they couldn't tell me where to buy breakfast, where to change US dollars, couldn't do the math on how much money I had to pay... they just stared at each other... and there were 3 of them!!!

The private room next to the bar/reception is extremely noisy, this should probably be a dorm room, as people reserving a private room probably prefer to not be next to the bar.

I didn´t like the layout of this hostel: it is a restaurant open to the public by day and a bar at night so it lacked good common areas. There werent many people actually sleeping there but lots of loud annoying ppl come at night to drink. It is also a 20 minute walk from the station and Exito. But I liked that the staff were very nice and there are lots of computers. When I came back to Medellin, I stayed at Black Sheep, which I preferred.

Honestly one of the best hostels I`ve stayed in south america! All of the staff are so friendly and helpful.. really outgoing and fun to socialise with! The restaurant is great, selling cheap breakfasts and colombian style lunches. The bar is a great place to start the night with a really cheap happy hour and a great atmosphere to make friends with guests, locals and expats, but closes early enough so that you can sleep if you need it. Clean, comfortable dorms make all the difference. Loved it!

For sure the best hostel in Medellin! Clean, fun, great location (literally two blocks from parque lleras). Also they have a great bar and happy hour where it's super easy to meet other travelers and locals. Thanks again!! - jake

I absolutely loved Tiger Paw. The location can`t be beat - very safe and close to many restaurants and bars. It is clean, the showers are hot, and there are comfortable spots to eat, chill, read, watch t.v. etc. If you`re looking to have fun on the weekends you MUST start the night at this hostel- drinks are reasonably priced and the atmosphere is awesome. The staff are incredible; friendly and informative and make you feel right at home. One staff member in particular, Alex, is sooo sweet.

I stayed 2 nights. Location is really good but not the staff , they dont know if you ask something about their own city, didnt show me the hostel at the first day ...many things... I made the reservation based in the rates in this page but i think its overrated .Googd location and clean, thats it.

For a hostel rated by LP as having "the best 6-bed dorms in Medellin," I expected better. The pillows were totally flat, and the beds have a lousy design. The drawers for your stuff are attached to the bunk at the bottom, so that if you need to get your stuff out, you'll wake up the person sleeping on the bottom bunk. Also, I stayed for 3 days, and during that time the hot water wasn't working at all, and the staff didn't seem to be in a hurry to get it fixed. Tiger Paw definitely fell short.
