Tim is a great and very helpful guy. He gave us lots of good recommendations where to go, what to see, and what to do. We had a private double room, which was in a separate appartement 5 minutes walk from the actual hostel. For us that was perfect since the actual hostel seems to get noisy at night with people coming home from parties.

I had a really great time here. Great location right next to the railway station and about 5 mins walk from loads of cool bars. Really chilled out atmosphere and very comfortable felt right at home. The staff were really helpful and friendly, telling us all the good places to go etc., and took us on great nights out! I really recommend this place!

I loved this hostel! It was really friendly, and everyone was really keen to get to know everyone. When I arrived they told me all the things that couldn't be missed in Budapest, and they were really helpful, organising trips out to the baths and the caves for us when we wanted them. The evenings were great fun as well! really clean and tidy too, in a beautiful old building.

Amazing! This hostel is the best of both worlds. it's really clean and comfortable with really great facilities, but also loads of fun. staff are really helpful and the atmosphere is great relaxed but fun.

Tiger Tim had great advice on what our group should do during the day and brought us around to all the fun bars and clubs at night. He also has some weird costumes in the common area and he has a lawn mower for people who are grasscutters. The place was a party, attracting all sorts and ensuring a good time. Thanks to Tiger Tim, Budapest was an amazing experience.

Tim is an exceptional host with a great facility. He is very accommodating and goes out of his way to engage with his guests and set up the atmosphere to meet other travelers. He personally led about 20 of us on a pub crawl through Budapest!

Tiger Tims Place is exactly the type of hostel every city needs. Affordable, clean, great wifi signal (important for me), and most importantly lots of fun. Also, upon arriving Tim gives great advice on what to see, where to eat, and where to party. If that's not enough, he offers a free bar crawl every night to the guests and everyone has great fun beforehand with communal drinking games. If you're looking for a good time and a great place to meet other travelers then look no further than Tims.

Stayed 6 nights in a very old and trashed apartment building five blocks from the hostel. As other reviews state, Tim has many suggestions for touring the city and discovering nightlife. Although we had our own agenda, Tim continuously attempted to make us feel obligated to join the "hostel" for drinks and partying every night. We didn't feel that such should be mandatory... Facilities were also a bit dirty and towels smelled even after asking for new clean ones. Could use a "tigress's touch."

Fantastic fun. 5 of us stayed at Tiger Tim's for 3 nights. Very central location. Tim is there basically everyday and he is a good laugh. He ensures you have lots of fun and get extremely drunk ("Roxanne"). Be careful of his drinking games, he plays with higher drinking penalities so you get drunk quicker (obviously a good thing). Overall, great entertainment, brilliant weekend!

Location was good, and the hostel had great atmosphere mostly thanks to Tim. Tim was helpful, gave great insight to Budapest and his casualness contributed to the spirit of the hostel which in turn, made the hostelers feel friendly towards each other. Strongly recommended.

Tim is a fun and interesting guy and this hostel was fantastic overall. One of my only complaints is that the keypad to get into the hostel doesn't work too well, and this was especially irritating when I was trying to come back late at night.

The staff was amazing, they were extremely friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The facilities were also outstanding: superb location, as clean as new and, for what you get, EXTREMELY inexpensive. One of the cozier and most welcoming hostels I've been to.

I would highly recommend Tiger Tim's to anyone who wants a fun place to stay in Budapest. It's definitely a young person type of place- everyone gets together and drinks and goes out together every night, so if you're not into that I'd look elsewhere. Tim is a really nice guy with good advice and keeps the place up well- it feels more like hanging out at his house than staying in a hostel.

Tim was a really nice host! Took the guests to parties in the evenings. helped us with the city sight seeing and made our stay not just comfortable but also memorable! I have stayed in several hostels before, but this was clearly the best one!

Living in a private room for 2. Really big and clean. It seemed everything new. It included bathroom~ Quite scary when u enter these old buildings at night. The elevators are small.

Had a great time at Tiger Tim's. Tim was very accommodating and helpful. Great vibes at the Hostel. Tim brought us out a couple of nights and showed us all the cool spots in town, i loved "Instant" and "Szimpla", and particularly the "Sparty" which was a night club in the thermal baths. Tim even cooked us dinner a few times, many thanks, see you again sometime
