I loved the Tiger themed decor! The hostel could do with a better kitchen, it was annoying there was only a microwave and no cooker. Also, I felt the hostel lacked atmosphere as there wasn't much of a social area on the floor I was staying in. It's not a party hostel though so good if you want a quiet night's sleep. Great location too.

would say that here was really very bad.. I ve been to more than 6 hostels.. And here is the worst ever. A receptionist was very rude and cold. Cant understand how she could be that cold. Also the aymosphere was really very bad. Felt like I was with homeless people. Almost all people there were quite old and looked like Latvian who couldnt get a place yo stay.. Couldnt take a hot shower as well.. Location is close to coach station but in a very noisy area. No way do I recommend you to stay

I always go to Tiger Hostel while in Riga simply because of the amazing location and best price. It's the best located place in town so there is no reason to book from somewhere else... unless you want to meet a lot of interesting young travelers or hang out with cool staff. Tiger Hostel is quite.. boring. And empty. They don't seem to have computers in every room anymore like they say but the wifi is working well. Last time my room had a smell I didn't like but it's been great other times.
