A lovely, civilised hostel, close to the Old Town but far enough away from the noise. Large, airy, clean rooms. Good bathrooms. Provision of fridge/kettle/free tea and coffee an added bonus. Definately recommend this hostel. Very good location, clean, helpful staff. PC in the room! Private rooms in Riga hostels are not very cheap but this was a good value for money.Definately recommend this hostel. Very good location, clean, helpful staff. PC in the room! I have traveled extensively, and the Tiger Hostel is the best hostel I have ever stayed at. It was in the perfect location, the staff was friendly, and the rooms were wonderful (and warm!). We liked the hostel, although it was in a pretty old building. The staff was very friendly. We did not look for fun: too much fun - too much noise - would have been a negative point at our age. The owner said he would change to a place nearer to the old city. At the moment the proximity to the station is a great plus.We liked the hostel, although it was in a pretty old building.
