This is the most terrible hostel I ever stayed. I don't know why it is recommended in Lonely Planet. It was dirty and smelled like toilet everywhere, probably because it hasn't been cleaned for years. I stayed in a 6 bed dorm which didn't even have a working door knob.

The description is very out of date. For example there is a metro in the city and that is the best way to get to the hostel from the train station. Also there were no laptops to access the internet on. There was no reply to the two emails I sent to the listed address. The dorm was very cramped and damp.

Compared to my previous hostel, The AC was down, just as the lockers and the doorknob. One of the beds in our murky room contained a big hole. But it remains one of the cheapes options in Chongqing, so you get what you pay for. And they had a cute kitten. If you are still determined to get here, don't take the buses, take the subway!
