The hostel was very noise. Much of that was because of a local festival. The hostess offered minimal suggestions or help. No map
One of the best well-run, friendly and beautiful hostels (or hotels) I 've stayed at. Only wished there was a way to add a door screen to the wooden doors in the dorm bedrooms as well to protect from mosquitoes while allowing some natural light during the day. Alternatively, it would be nice to have additional bedside lamps for nighttime reading and a light shade over the fluorescent lightbulb on the wall would help as well to soften the room. Everything else is near perfect.
Except of the beds everything was perfect. Would like to stay longer! Beautiful hostel!
Great relaxing place ! Has a really nice vibe, staff is superfriendly.
Very beautiful and relaxing. Nice and clean dorm rooms, beautiful inviting kitchen for cooking. The receptionist was very kind and gave a nice intro to the town and nearby area with a handy map. Would most definetly recommend staying at Tinto.
The hostel is nice, the room is nice, the kitchen is very good and overall a good atmosphere. The staff is alright.
One of the most beautiful and well-cared-for hostels I've stayed in. Very friendly and respectful staff. A well-equipped kitchen.
This hostel is the top of the line in my opinion. The hostel is physically beautiful and very clean, with a lovely garden and a great kitchen. The owner is very kind and always present to help in any way. It is very economical with rooms for 6 people costing 22,000 Colombian pesos which is apx $11 a night for each person. The town of Barichara is delightful, quiet, and clean with good coffee shops. The mountain views are spectacular. everywhere you look. Don't miss out on this one.
Tinto Hostel is is jewel; Barichara is already a beautiful and relaxing town and Tinto makes it even better. You feel like you are in a resort. The hostel's landscaping is superb, there are corners were you can relax, awesome views and it is fully equipped with all the amenities you can expect from top lodging. Javier and staff are extremely friendly and helpful. This is one of the best hostels in the World. I have traveled all over Europe, the Americas. and Asia and nothing matches TINTO.
comfortable clean central cheap hostel in a wonderful town where time seems to stand still. javier, the guy who runs it, is a helpful and friendly person that does its best to make you feel at ease and give you all the information you could need. highly recommended. ps do the walk to guane, "el camino real", it's worth it
We loved this place and were only able to stay one night, but wished we could have stayed longer.
