Staff were unhelpful on arrival and seemed to disappear at times meaning we were locked out! Lacked atmosphere bt at least it was cheap!

Owner Comment (Show)
For security of Our Guest, we must have locked the door, that is why we leave a ring bell inside the door... if you wanna go out, and sorry for the atmosphete but it's a low season and it`s hard to find too many people at the time in the hostel

The beds were dirty. No toilet paper in bathroom. Staff were well meaning, but in reality totally unhelpful.

Don Filipe and the rest of the staff were really friendly and helpful. I felt very at home while I was there. They were careful in terms of security and would warn us about carrying our valuables etc. Great location! Just behind the hip area where university kids hang out. We booked 2 beds in a 6 bed mixed dormitory but it turned out to be 8 beds instead! Lucky for us, there was only one other occupant.

Such an amazing place to stay, the staff is exceptionally helpful and friendly, great area to be in and lots of resources. Knowledgable and helpful staff made the stay one of the best hostal experiences I have ever had. Good breakfast, too, and located close to a lot sights.

Mainly seemed to be a building site. Our door had a big hole in and the owner seemed surprised when we asked to move to one without.

Overall a good experience and great deal for a private room, however I hate when hostels don't provide maps, which this one did not. We also didn't have much hot water (sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't), and Bogota gets cold.

Good Hostel close to the city center with main tourist attractions. Staff was helpful but seemed unexperienced. Big rooms. Not always toilet paper. Showers aren't that warm, but maybe that's something typical in this region.

I stayed here for three days and was very satisfied. Sergio is kind and tries to help with everything, he even gave us umbrellas as it was raining the whole time. It's clean and only 5-7 minutes from the bus stop with many cheap restaurants and backpackers in the area. It was really quite during my stay, so definitely not the party hostel, but a lot of good movies to watch.

We did not have a good stay in this hostel. We felt unsafe around the hostel. There is not a 24h reception. We booked a Ensuite Private Dorm but the bathroom is outside, so everybody can use the bathroom. The furniture is old, seems not clean. We asked the staff to book us a taxi to the airport and the guy did not called them. We had to call the taxi and almost lost our flight. I don't recommend at all this hostel.

We had a great time staying at Tip Top, the place was clean, tidy and most of all the staff were all very kind and helpful particularly Sergio. He was there to help most of the day and all through the night. He spoke good English and had taken us to a very good cheap Argentinian restaurant and helped us find new hostel because we had forgot to book extra nights at Tip Top. Highly recommend Tip Top. Deferentially would stay there again!!

Great location. Very close to restaurants and bars yet far enough end removed you feel safe. Staff was accommodating and friendly. Breakfast was small but good.

Sergio, the hostel owner's son, is the most helpful person I have ever met. He did for us far more than the expected receptionist job.

Excellent service and most security in a ciy where this is the most important factor. However, there is no much character neither atmosphere in it. Common room is rather limited and many people tend to share it, thus there is a confusio when somebody is talking on phone or skype.
