They shouldn't classify themselves as a bed and breakfast. The breakfast doesn't go much beyond what is offered at a normal hostel. Essentially toast and yogurt.

I stayed one night in a 6 person dorm. I left very early in the morning to catch the Airlink bus to the airport which stops just across the bridge at Heuston Station. The facilities were all clean and well maintained, a good value for the low price.

The staff is what makes this place! The location is all right, close to the station but a good walk (or a short, relatively cheap cab drive) from the heart of the city. The only problem I could foresee someone having is that a tram runs right outside, so a light sleeper might be woken up if they sleep near the front of the building.

Great hostel - very clean, cozy, and friendly! It was in a convienant location to the bus station and the tram as well as 12 min walk to the Guinness factory.

I liked Tipperary House because it was far enough away from the city centre to get a peaceful nights rest, but close enough to go out and enjoy the heart of Dublin in no time. In saying that, the pubs and shops around this location were great in their own right. Mark and Paddy were excellent hosts, and the rooms were very comfortable and extremely clean and well taken care of. I started my trip there, and ended there as well! Very close to tram, bus and airport shuttle lines. Thanks!!

I enjoyed my stay at Tipperary house, they offer a simple, honest service. Good value for money. Room was tiny but we didn't spend much time in it, so was just right! Continental breakfast with everything you might want (coffee/tea, yogurt, cereals, toasts etc).Tom and Mark were great hosts, very friendly and chatty people! We were offered breakfast on our arrival, while we were waiting for the room to be done and that was very kind! I'd definitely recommend it for a short stay!

The bed was too small for two people and water facility was not so confortable beause the bath room was very cold. But staff were nice and breakfast was fair. I think the stay at Tipperary House is worth for money. Thank you!

Owner Comment (Show)
Hey Inoue, Thanks for your feedback ,you booked a standard double room which has a standard double bed as we are budget accommodation its not practical for us to have larger beds such as a kingsize bed in our rooms.I take your comment on board about the cold bathroom as it was actually the coldest march on record in Ireland if the weather continued with the abnormally cold temperatures we would have looked at installing heaters in the bathrooms maybe this is something we will into for the future too Regards Mark

Well run bed and breakfast with polite and service minded staff. For the price a very nice place to stay a couple of days. Would have been nice with a couple of more power outlets closer to the night stand, otherwise the room was clean and filled the needs we had for this holiday trip to Dublin. Close to the tram and to Heuston station. Never used the the tram though, because we used our feet. Dublin's a good city to explore by foot. Would absolutely recommend this to other visitors.

Staff was more than willing to make our stay in Ireland the best it could possibly be. Even getting into Ireland late (12:30am) someone was at the door to receive us. Each day during breakfast, staff helped us plan tour visits and sites to see during our 3 day stay, even going as far as to recommend public transport routes.
