Lovely Staff made us feel at home, clean beds and loads of information about Penang.

One of the best hostels I've stayed at in my trip so far!!! Lucas and Joyce are very friendly and accommodating. The place is clean with quirky interior design and very secure. It's a little far from the backpacker center of Penang, but near Komtar and the shopping malls. The place is very clean, free breakfast was good, hot shower, friendly people, definitely worth the money even though price is higher than most guesthouses.

'I wish I was still there' - at the second I entered Tofu Cafe Beds & Bikes, I felt at ease. Lucas and Joyce are extremely friendly, welcoming and humble hosts. They managed to 'transform' an old traditional Penang house into a very comfortable and tourist-friendly place without touching its authenticity. Tofu is not located in the backpackers area, which I personally valued a lot; but it is also not too far (with a bike nothing is far :)!). You are more likely to meet locals here... Thx 4 All!

I loved this place. The individual sleeping pods were quirky, with loads of excellent touches eg personal fans, headboard storage, trays, etc. The facilities were clean, chill-out areas comfy, the place has a great artsy feel to it, with games & good food on offer (the soups are home-made & delicious!). But the best thing by far were the owners Lucas and Joyce. Full of info and genuinely two of the nice people I have ever met. I extended by 3 nights & I'll be back!

Excellent place to stay in Georgetown. The staff were amazing & super helpful, the dorms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The directions were a little convoluted, however with a map it is easy to locate. Would highly recommend this place!!

Tofu is a prince among hostels, a lord of its kind. Its facilities are snug and inviting, its staff kindly and warm. The phrase "hostel" is actually sort of misleading; Tofu is a becalming center of spiritual and physical realignment. I'm planning to return to Penang at some point just to spend a weekend there.
