The sign of the reception area could be much clearer. It's really hard to find the place, even though it was the second time I'm staying. Please do put up a huge sign indication Tomato Rooms at the door, something that can also be seen at night.

The staff is not very friendly, seems like she is not in good mood. We ask for recommendations and she asked us to find out ourselves. And the room we stayed is not quite the same as we saw in the picture in hostel world, not so 'cute' and 'characteristic'. But, the hostel is good enough and like a hotel to us, worth the money. If we come for the night market here, surely stay at tomato room.

Excellent location for people who wish to stay near the Feng Chia Night market. Thumbs up for the clean and comfortable room with hotel feel. However, the lady staff was not very friendly and it will be great if the check-in can be done earlier.

Staff not friendly. Location walking distance to night market.

It is more like a rented one-bedroom apartment than a hostel.

Room was very small and wasnt very clean. No privacy as the curtains was slightly transparent. Definitely not worth the money for the stay. Will not use the same hostel again.

The room is nicely decorated. Suitable for 2 person to sleep in. Good location near Feng Jia University but frankly speaking, it might be a small issue locating the check in place. But the rooms are secured within a building guarded by security as well. On a side note, probably to look out for mosquitoes within the room before handing over to the guests. But generally it was still a good place to stay.

The place is nice, but its really like what everyone is saying, quite difficult to find. have to find the office 1st before you can go up to the building. Recommend everyone to call them instead of finding the place blindly. Overall its good, value for money. Highly recommend if you are on a "just stay for the night" thinking.

A great hostel that is fantstic value as it is more like a hotel. I would recommend to anybody except if you have a bike as bikes can not be stored in the grounds and the car park has nothing to chain up to. Staff were helpful in helping is find solutions though! (thankyou!)

The location is great. It's very close to Feng Jia night market. The staff is helpful. They even recommended me a cab service. Overall, it is value for money. Definitely will stay here again during my next visit.

The hostel was very clean and spacious, almost hotel-like. Extremely value for money! Location was good as well. Can be confusing to find at first but its okay.

I would have given an excellent rating for the cleanliness if not for the dirty thermal flask that we had in our room, which contained some dregs that floated on the surface of the hot water that we had boiled. Overall, my friends and I had an extremely enjoyable stay at Tomato Rooms as it was very spacious and very clean. Staying at Tomato Rooms is definitely value for money.

The water temperature is quite hard to control. Water is either too hot or too cold. The cleanliness of the room can be improved. Dust can be seen especially at the corners of the room and the decor.

It was quite a good facility home for a night stay, but not warm as a hostel, since the check in counter is not actually the place you settle.

Everything was great. The only bad bad thing is that we can't leave our luggage even though the check in was at 4, as the shop that was suppose to check us in was not open until 12pm as we reached at 8am. But I must really commend that they allow us to check in early and the facilities are really good!

Good place to stay if you arrive between 16-20 and just stay one night for the night market. Far away from everything except the night market. Their "office" opens at noon, so it's extremely troublesome to arrive early/late or to leave your luggage while you go on trips to Cingjing/Alishan/SML.

Lucky I took a cab to the hostel otherwise it will be extremely hard to find as the 'Tomato Rooms' signage was only written on a small board. I would have been expecting a big sign otherwise i would definately have missed it. f

10-15 min walk to Fengjia Night Market. Security is excellent. Value for money. Not suitable for meeting people as the only common lounge is the reception office. Breakfast provided is nothing to shout about but there is many eateries around the hostel building so no worries.
