This review is for the continental hotel a couple of doors down as when we arrived at Tony's House Hotel there had been a leak and we were unable to stay. They had however booked a room for us a couple of doors down and the Continental suited all our needs as budget travellers

very very disappointed. booked the hotel 6 mths in advance but when we got there they direct us to another hotel. We stayed in London for 2 days and it is for our honeymoon but Tony's house told us that the room was fully booked by others. If this is the case, why they are still accepting bookings? They directed us to another hotel for 1 night and the next day we have to quickly check out to move to another hotel. It was quite tiring and it spoilt our schedule for the day.

Staff were very rude until we paid them, when they suddenly turned nicer. Some staff hardly speak English. Bathroom was extremely small, but enough hot water. Clean towels were provided. Breakfest was ok, croissant was awful.

Very nice hotel. Nothing extraordinary, but really good for London. Been there two times and was satisfied both times. The breakfast is taken in your room, it's industrial but really filling. The staff is really nice, polite and helpful. Two minutes walk to Paddington station...perfect!

Very nice, 3 mins walk to underground and rail station, very convenient to Heathrow airport. The staff was nice, but suggest to add a luggage room. And can improve the quality of bed. All good!

Bed Bugs. Completely covered in bites the following morning. Need I say more? Actually this review should really be for the 'Metro' hotel just down the road - it's the partner hotel. The manager told us the boiler was being repaired at Tony's House, he offered us his other property, which is apparently 'exactly the same' - so I assume the bed bugs thing applies to both.

We had a tiny tiny room in the hotel's basement. Well, i guess it is what you can get for this price... The breakfast wasn't very good also.

We were moved to another hotel nearby (Metro hotel) because of overbooking. The first staff member was nice and the first room we got looked nice too. Although when we were about to sleep we discovered bed bugs. We then got a new room (no ensuite, in poorer condition) which seemed to be bug-free. When we asked for compensation the guy at the desk told us to "chill". In the end we got 10£ off. I didnt expect much from a cheap hotel, but bed bugs isnt ok. It seemed business as usual to them though
