We had a reservation but they didn\'t had a room for 4 anymore, staff was not helpful at all. people on the street warned us not to stay there since the neighbourhood is dangerous - it\'s in Chinatown. We decided to leave instead taking a room for 3 with 4 people...never again!!

Friendly and helpful staff, small rooms but sufficient, toilet and shower right besides bed is a bit akward but you get used to it. All in all worth a recommendation if one is only looking for a place to stay for a short time.

Don’t touch this hostel with a barge poll! Firstly we were moved to another Hostel as soon as we arrived. They said someone else had our room. We arrived at the second property and a block or two away and found that the room was being decorated. So we ended up sharing a bed in a dorm. We were over charged as well. And to top it off we were mad to feel like it was our fault by the staff. Another thing, they said that we were not allowed to use any of the kitchen items like the kettle, because they belo

It was a terrible experience of my first staying at hostel. I arrived there at the late night as I informed on website. I booked the Twin Private Ensuite room but when I arrived, no room available for me and my friend. The lady gave us a choice to stay in another student flat at the same character about 500 m away and tried to over charge us. However, we got the acceptable price for the 4 beds mix dorm finally. It 's cheap but I recommend you guys to find somewhere else.

Please understand the price you booked is for a single private share bathroom, not a private bathroom as you wished. If you want to have a private bathroom you should book another kind of room. If you are not satisfied with the accomodation we are offering, you can let us know and we will do our best to help you. Thank you for staying here and welcome back again.

on arrival the lady tried to over charge us,we had to show our email confirmation to prove how much we should have to pay. Then we were told we would not be staying in the hostel but in other accomodation which was accross the road. The accomodation here seemed like student flats. The bathroom was covered in hairs. The room was cold&we had no access to cooking facilities. On our 4th night as we were going to bed we saw a mouse. We usually stay in the cheapest place&are normally very happy but not here

Great value hostel. A private room for 2 people for the same price as a single dorm bed elsewhere. The location was good, close to the markets and a 20 min walk to downtown. It felt safe in the local neighbourhood. Staff were friendly but not always available. Rooms were small but adequate. There was limited cooking facilities with not many utensils.

I understand that someone cannot be there at all times, but leaving the key o the door was a little unnerving. Also, the bathroom was TINY! We couldn't even close the door properly. Besides that, it was also an issue when it came time to pay since they did not bill us properly.

We were confused with the price because we gave you a room with private washroom instead of share washroom you booked. However we did not charge you extra than you booked. We are trying our best to offer our travellers but please understand its in downtown toronto, our washroom door dose not have problems to close, or you should inform us rightaway, we would try our best to solve the problems. Thank you for staying here, welcome back again.

The staff was really nice and helpful, they also help me to find an apartment to rent ( It´s the same owner). The room was very big, warm and had a mini refrigerator, so you can buy food and store them. There is a small kitnen but is ok and just de restroom was really small. I recommend this hostel for who was looking for something for a few days. The location was very good, near a subway and bus stop, also a few blocks walking for the eaton center.

Very close to Kensington market and easy to access the core touring spots. However, at the next block near Chinatown, there was a murder in a store next to this hostel. Other things, such as price, cleanliness, free wifi, will make tourists pleasant enough also the manager is very kind and pleasant.
