The staff is very friendly and helpful, however the rooms are hit or miss. One night, we stayed in a room that smelled like smoke. The bathrooms are also disappointing- there is no separate shower everything in the bathroom gets wet! The kitchen is one of the larger ones I have seen in hostels, but the breakfast are just pieces of bread, nothing else. The hostel itself has a peaceful and welcoming atmosphere. Overall, a positive experience.

Enjoyed my 2 nights stay in the hostel.. Staff were friendly & helpful. Comfortable place with a good kitchen to cook in. A short walk to the beach but recommend you go to the nearby bus stop & venture to the beach 20 minutes away. Far less crowded than the nearby beaches.Overall the hostel was better than the area, can't say I liked Mar del Plata too much.

Really nice hostel, people who run it are really nice and informative. Dont go to the beach close by its too crowded! take a bus like 20-30 minutes out of town and hop off when you see one you like; trust me its a nicer experience that way.

Everything is perfect! I have an excellent time in Totem! The location is right near the sea and the centre. The staff was fun and always helpfull and give me great advise about what to do in the city. The hostel has a very nice common area and the kitchen and bathrooms are always clean. I would definitely stay here next time I visit Mar del Plata!

The beds were definitely not the quality they look in the pictures as well as the space. Also, the whole bathroom was a shower, and afterwards you would have to squeegee the floor and water went all over the toilet and the sink, pretty much everything in the whole room. The female hostess was nice

It´s completely overpriced, rooms were far of what was shown in pictures, and if for any reason we had fun in there it had nothing to do with hostel itself but with other people staying there. The staff is "OK", but despite of being owners the don´t show much interest in improving. Any hostel in Argentina has at least a cheap guitar.
