Enjoyed my stay. The best thing about it is the staff- they are brilliant and one particluar girl has excellent English! The hostel looks very cozy. Beds are comfortable. I would like to stay there again if I take another trip to Hangzhou.

A little far from the lake and downtown but closer than the other hostels and right by the bus station. Still walking distance from the lake. Friendly and helpful staff, huge downstairs and great well-priced food.

A very friendly and welcoming hostel in a great location next to the lake. We had a double ensuite room, which was very clean and authentic. Staff were always happy and very helpful. The noodle soup was very tasty and cheap! Only criticism would be that it was a little cold in November with no heating.

My experience here was excellent. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the common area had comfortable furniture and free wifi. The location, near the lakes and other sites and a quick bus ride into town, is great. The place is attractive and inviting. The food is fairly basic but good (Chinese and Western). In response to other reviews, if you need something (towels, soap, recommendations for eating), ask and the staff will go out of their way for you. They are extremely friendly and helpful!

Overall, a pretty good place to stay--however, they don't provide you with soap (which is normal for Chinese hostels), but they also don't provide towels or even toilet paper. :( About 20 min walk from main destination in the city--there are other hostels much closer to the main attraction. Staff is friendly and helpful but their English is limited. Would be helpful if hostel provided more tourist materials (i.e. Basic English Maps, more bike rentals, etc.)
