Excellent location near "piazza dell duomo" (about 5 min walk). Quiet ambience and very well equiped kitchen.

One man runs the hostel and he speaks only Italian. It was an apartment-turned-hostel and the manager lives there, so it felt like you were staying in his home because you are. He was there at midnight for check in, but not at 10 for check out. There are no city maps provided. In the kitchen are lockers with an electronic locking system that the manager has the key to. Excellent location.

Very bad costumer service, unfriendly, slow and inefficient. At the arrival, they promised us a breakfast and there wasn't any, even though included in the price. Staff unable to resolve problems.

The place was really dirty. The pictures on the internet made it look clean and nicer than what it is. Overpriced for what it is. I wouldn't recommend it. I had booked it because the pictures looked pretty okay. We were in 7, 2 boys and 5 girls and we struggled a lot with our stay due to the state of the toilets, due to the beds being very uncomfortable, in the rooms there were no hangers, the rooms were dirty and messy. The people that runs the place have been very kind and helpful.

The bathroom was dirty regularly. The balcony had trash on it from previous guests. There was no warning about how incredibly loud sound was from the street. The staff were never around and didn't explain anything about towels, directions, etc. I would never go back to this hostel.

The bathrooms were incredibile dirty. We had booked a private room, but since there was a part of the wall to the other room (dorm) missing (on top to protect the painting on the ceiling) it felt we have no privacy at all. I could have slept in the dorm as well. The 2 separate matrasses of the old bed are probably in use since 1970. The location is excellent. Very close to the center of Firenze. As there are a lot of bars it gets noisy because of all the people standing outside

Location was great and the wifi was great. Sadly this was the only promise kept by the hotel. Upon arrival we were redirected to a different building about 5 mins away so I can only comment on this one. It was nothing like the hotel had advertised. It smelt odd, wasn't clean, and there was 1 roll of toilet paper. Not the end of the world unless there were 6 girls and myself sharing the bathroom, which there was! No washing machine, kitchen, towels, map, cafe etc that were listed on the ad.

This property was pretty nice but it was really loud and bright at night. Also the wifi didn't reach into the rooms.

There is too much to improve. It is in a great location. And we loved the fact that it had had kitchen. But everything was a bit untidy and dirty. For its good location it could be a great place to stay.

The family who ran it were very nice and the location is really great! The owner was so kind that it made up for a lot of the cons to the hostel. However, the actual accommodation isn't the best. The bathrooms didn't seem too clean and towels were not provided. I also did not feel comfortable because the other guests were very rude, and there was no one there to tell them to quiet down as the owner does not control the noise. But altogether, I would probably go back because of the owner.

I only need a hostel to shower & sleep. I spend most of my time exploring so I generally don't need much. However, for my showering & sleeping purposes, this was a difficult place. As any hostel/hotel bathroom, they need a good cleaning regularly. This wasn't done & the floors were always wet, covered with hair & there was, multiple times, no toilet paper. Also, the hostel is on the 1st floor & our bedroom window was over a bar. Of course, singing & screaming people after 3am can't be helped.

Of the 4 hostels we stayed in during our trip through Italy, this was the best one. This was a centrally located APARTMENT. The 4 of us had our own room and bathroom [and key], as well as a sizable living room and small patio -- and v funky decorations. Several corner stores on the street made midnight snacks and wine a breeze. The best part - I left behind a pair of sneakers in our room, and Sorin was kind enough to mail them to me in Spain. THANKS SORIN!! Can't wait to come back soon!! :)

No reception. The manager frequently wasn't present. Not very clean rooms and the room heater was not working!
