We only found out when we got there that the room was 4 blocks farther from the center than the pin on the map. At our scheduled 1pm arrival the previous guests were still in the room and we had to wait while our sheets were changed. The walls were dirty, the curtains broken, the mattress was hard and springy. The bathroom was dirty with mould and a broken toilet seat stashed under the sink. The place was a dump and an embarrassment to hostelworld.com. Take your money elsewhere. I wish I did.

Good location, but hard to find as there is no indication in the place. Staff friendly, bathrooms and kitchen were very dirty.

one of the bath is not working very well, and the window is kind of shabby, and mosquitoes entered the room which are quite annoying.

The great location is what makes this hostel so awesome. Five minute walk to both the il Duomo and Palazzo Vecchio and Uffizi Gallery! Walls of the hostel can be a little thin at times, but this is really just a minor problem . Stay here!

No toilet paper, no toilet seat, mold everywhere, thick odor from mold and mildew probably due to water. Couldn't sleep unless the window was completely open.

The only thing this place has going for it is the location (which is only pretty good). Our sheets were pretty damp and the place was very dirty. We checked in and had to follow him about a 10 min walk away where our room was, because it was not in the Teatro Verdi building. He didn't really speak English and wasn't around to answer questions or very friendly in the first place.

good place for backpackers and people whom the distance to city center is important for them.

Worst hostel i ever stayed in. The facilities are disgusting. The room is cramped, dark and dirty. If the building was in the USA it would be condemned and deemed uninhabitable. It gave me the impression that the owner doesn't care about what foreign travelers think of Italy.

One man runs the hostel and he speaks only Italian. It was an apartment-turned-hostel and the manager lives there, so it felt like you were staying in his home because you are. He was there at midnight for check in, but not at 10 for check out. There are no city maps provided. In the kitchen are lockers with an electronic locking system that the manager has the key to. Excellent location.

Very bad costumer service, unfriendly, slow and inefficient. At the arrival, they promised us a breakfast and there wasn't any, even though included in the price. Staff unable to resolve problems.

The place was really dirty. The pictures on the internet made it look clean and nicer than what it is. Overpriced for what it is. I wouldn't recommend it. I had booked it because the pictures looked pretty okay. We were in 7, 2 boys and 5 girls and we struggled a lot with our stay due to the state of the toilets, due to the beds being very uncomfortable, in the rooms there were no hangers, the rooms were dirty and messy. The people that runs the place have been very kind and helpful.

The bathrooms were incredibile dirty. We had booked a private room, but since there was a part of the wall to the other room (dorm) missing (on top to protect the painting on the ceiling) it felt we have no privacy at all. I could have slept in the dorm as well. The 2 separate matrasses of the old bed are probably in use since 1970. The location is excellent. Very close to the center of Firenze. As there are a lot of bars it gets noisy because of all the people standing outside
