Pretty good setup overall. The 3 person private was 1 twin by itself and two other twins pushed together. :/ But the security was good, we had three doors before getting to our room. The shower itself was pretty enjoyable. I'm guessing they put all their money into that rather than a housekeeper. Because, the three nights we were there, we didn't see them come once. Location, however, was fantastic. You're literally within a few minutes walk of some great spots. (for going out that is)

The dirtiest place I have ever had the misfortune of staying. Toilets didn't have seats and one of them shot water out the top when you flushed, a pizza box was placed on top to prevent this but for some reason that didn't work. Other guests smoked inside and it was like sleeping in a smokey bar. I was in Italy for three months and this is the worst hostel experience I had, only saving grace was it's location.

There is a humidity and mosquito problem in the hostel. The shower was great I would have loved some tourist tips from the host

Very quaint and it felt more like a cozy apartment than a hostel. The location is also very good-close to the Duomo. Staff is very friendly.

We have been transferred to an other location without many facilities. It was too cold. If you travel in spring, it would be better to have additional cloths

The location is near everything, but you have to know the place to get to the places you want to go, and I think it was just me, but it took me a few circles around the hostel to find the hostel.

The location is OK, considering that it's on a very lively street with restaurants and bars and tourist sites are walkable. The rooms lack lockers, which could be an issue. The hostel is a converted loft apartment, but that also means it has a full kitchen and multiple bathrooms/showers. The cleaning staff is definitely more than just the owner, and I personally didn't have a problem with cleanliness. People gathered in the kitchen common area to chat. An average hostel overall, but not bad.

This hostel is running by the young man himself, it used to be his own apartment and he turn it in to a hostel. All reception cleaning work is done by just himself, which means it can't be perfectly cleaned. Very poor cleanese, not very secured. Doesn't have a very strict rule, which sometime is good sometime is not. The location is just okay, like around 20 mins walk to station, 10mins walk to other tourist attractions.

When we booked the double private we did not expect to have 1 giant bed and 1 twin, so we were very pleasantly surprised. Having our own bathroom was also an unexpected, yet very welcomed, surprise. It was a great room, very clean, and easy walking distance to any tourist attraction. Loved the apartment/homey feel of it!

When we visited Florence the hostel was mostly empty. The only glitch we had to go thru was the fact that we missed on seeing that the reception wasn't 24 hrs. We made the guy in charge wait and got charged 5 euros fr that. The location is brilliant, close to the Santa croche square, the Duomo square etc. The street right below the hostel was quite noisy till late in night, but then I am not complaining. The noise made me go down and mingle with the crowd... Definitely going to stay here again.

The nicest thing about tourist house santa croce is the relaxed atmosphere and the great vibes from the manager. Thanks for a great stay!

This can be described as a central hostel, near the party (for people who don\'t look for that take something to cover your ears because you can ear the outside), with very nice staff and great environment. In my opinion you can get a lote more than your money is worth. Really nice experience )

It is a nice and cute hostel in a historic building very close to Santa Croce. The staff is very friendly. Facilities are not bad for its price.

There is nothing to say, I never had the key for room. The rate is cheap, but I'll try to find other hostel next.

The staff were lovely when they were around - they need badly to hire some more! We were in a separate building, which is okay, but inconvenient for using some of the facilities - such as the kitchen. The kitchen was not particularly clean. There was a bad atmosphere in shared areas, but this was largely due to some inconsiderate fellow guests. A stronger staff presence would make this less likely. But it is cheap accommodation in Florence, so we were happy enough with it.
